The reason that graph is based off speed is due to some interference we were getting on the dyno when running a tach signal. That run ends in the 7,500 rpm range.

So you would say it's responsive even for being a non-BB unit?

Keep us posted! Like everyone else, I am curious to see someone unleash this turbo's potential, and show what it's capable of.

A-Spec Tuning 01-13-09 10:31 AM

Forgot about this one also, 450 RWHP @ 18.5 psi:

What is the turbine A/R on that setup?^

Trots*88TII-AE* 01-13-09 09:32 PM

Jesus that's a nice torque curve Sean.

that looks good. 1 bar by 3600RPM. Do you know what housing he was using? Was it the .84?

I figured you would think so. Imagine if it was a ball bearing unit. :)

bop_rocco 01-24-09 02:32 AM

How much extra is it to get this turbo with the anti surge housing?

bop_rocco 01-26-09 02:35 AM

Also what differences are there between this turbo and the to4r or to4s.

Zero R 01-26-09 09:24 AM

Anti-surge is $100 the main difference is the compressor wheel. Depending on what I wanna do I may be changing the turbine wheel soon but at the moment I have too much other stuff going on.

TehMonkay 02-06-09 02:35 PM

My tax return is getting mailed the 20th, i'll be contacting you about one of these a few days afterwards, Am I correct the price is $895 still?

mdpalmer 02-12-09 10:10 PM

where's the torque?

Not sure what your meaning by "real" dyno results and info??? I have another dyno here on a stock port FD boost was 14lbs range.

^^ Can you show the torque curve too (one can back-calculate it.. but it would be nice to see it on the same plot)?

shaunwil 02-13-09 02:09 AM

Have you looked at page 6 ?

Shaun

Yes I did. I didn't read too much into it. I was referring to post 168. What I was expecting was a plot of the torque and hp on the sames axes, I feel it's more intuitive and easier to understand than when you see the two on seperate axes. The first plot for your car in particular must have wrong units on the torque. As I said, I didn't read too much into it, you may have clarified that somewhere else in the thread :)

shaunwil 02-14-09 06:48 AM

Thats an uncorrected figure straight off the dyno. There is no gear correction in it. I think its usually 4.1.

Remeber the torque graph only works inline with the rpm. The Ft/lb scale can be a completly different scale making the information not completly real when compairing charts.

Nice #'s guy's. But I wounder if this turbo is capable of making 500hp? Thats my mark to make close to 500hp if not over.

Zero R 02-22-09 07:59 PM

Sure it could, 35R's do it, would it be the absolute best choice? No. It depends on what your trying to do. It's a great mid 430- 480whp turbo depending on setup.

roymacavoy 02-23-09 08:01 PM

Wheres a vid of this beast?

https://www.rx7club.com/single-turbo-rx-7s-23/gt3574-dyno-plots-spec-kit-839802/

My car just made 460 rwhp in 3rd gear at 16 psi and 500 rwhp in 4th gear at 17 psi with this turbo on pump gas :D.
