Some ******* keyed the **** out of well........ basically the whole car. I got it apraised the today by the insurance company, and now ready to get her to the paint booth.

You might call Alex at Gotham racing here in Ft. Worth. I would trust them to paint my FD, just a long way to go for a paint job.

He's not in NOLA but Freddie in Houma is your best bet to not get ripped off and get what you pay for.

Josh, if Freddie is out of your price range my boy Rick Gaude can handle it. He worked at Champs Collision for years and does work on the side. He has an arrangement with the owner of the shop and is allowed so much "side work". He painted my car when it bumped, and I think Leonard had some work done by him a while back as well. 504-339-2046 (cell) He does great work !

 

BTW.........that's really fucked up whoever keyed your car. Any idea who might have done it or just some random dumb *** ??

Thanks for the number to your friend. I am going to call him and get an estimate. Yeah I think it was just some *** hat that owned a honda and was pissed he didn't have an fd. It really isn't that bad becasue I needed to get the clear coat on the trunk lid fixed anyway. Why not paint the whole car? It just is a shitty time for this to happen.

People like that need to be publicly beaten and have rotor housings dropped on their privates Anyway, Rick and I go wayyyyyyyyy back. He is the man and paints everything as if it were his own. A real perfectionist.

Tell him you want him to polish your upper intake manifold (for ***** and giggles). He swears on his life he'll never do that again hahaha !! He hooked me up wayy back and was polishing away on that thing in sub-zero temps. outdoors.

Hahahaaaaa. Well I got my polished UIM installed a few weeks back so he won't have to do that, but I am going to ask him anyway to wsee what his response is. Thanks again.

Pic of UIM below for you know........***** a giggles!! And yes we did powder coat the bottom and the middle section because we couldn't get it just right. I know exactly why he wil never polish one again!

Yes, I highly recommend Rick. I had planned to get my previous CYM fully painted by him. But Katrina nixed that. I've had other work performed by Rick since then and he is the man!

Check this out.......I got a call from a local Rx-8 owner and he wants to join our club. Anyway, he's in charge of a Planetarium somewhere on the westbank and has full access to the joint. He has offered the building up for a meet if we are ever interested. Said he'll bust out teh Hubble Telescope for all of us to view. Maybe we can find the Alien Life Forms responsible for bringing Rotary Technology to us ??

P.S. If we are going to have a meet, we need to set up a date so I can request off of work. I need to change my altenator belts before I see you guys again, though. I'd be too embarassed to show up around you guys with my belts squealing...

 

It's basically done. I could pick it up, but I'm still waiting on some front ABS sensors and of course the BNR stage 3's. Both of those parts should ship this week, so I hope it will be ready to roll by the end of the following week.

And, I still don't have a radio installed... Speaking of, I decided not to install Petros' system. Know anybody who's interested?
