Took the opportunity to stop by Motorsport Ranch Houston today. I wanted to find out when the next track day was planned. I met and talked with Jerry Massengale (head of Track Operations) and got a little bit of history about how the track came about.

Jerry was a really nice guy. Even offered to take me for a couple of laps in his Z06 corvette ... which I of course accepted Man was that a blast. Reminded me of Damian's track videos except we were not chasing down anyone like Damian does.

Turns out that Jerry is a fan of Mazda's, particularly the FD. He thinks they make great track cars. I mentioned to him about the Houston RX-7 Club and the monthly meeting. He suggested we hold one or more of our meetings at the track, or schedule our own track day.
