Tulsa rotaryrendezvous.com in association with Select Cinemas / The Admiral Twin Drive-in announces a one night only special event. After 4 years of rotary powered vehicle only events we have decided to open up our show to all of the local car clubs. Old cars, new cars, young and old come out to the Admiral Twin from 4 till dusk and show off your “baby.” Come out to show and stay for the show. Be a part of the “Mother-road” story, have some fun, socialize with other car guys and gal. For the young at heart, relive those halcyon days when you took your date to the drive-in. For the young in body, come find out why mom and dad get that slight smile when ever the drive- in is mentioned. Come out and support an endangered species, worldwide there are only 520 drive-ins left in operation. There were once 46 drive-ins along Route 66 today the landmark Admiral Twin is one of only six left still operating.

I am planning on attending also. This will be the first one I will get to attend! The car was down last year and before I was out of state... I am really looking forward to it. I am still waiting for an admin to activate my logon on the ROTARYRENDEZVOUS website. Same username as on here..

I want to give a word of thanks to the organizers, sponsors, and attendees.
Turnout was lower than hoped, due to no other car club following thru on their pledge to attend, but we still had a decent turnout of Rotary powered cars. Everything from a RHD RX3 to a Turbo RX8, including all 3 gens of RX7. Even had a dedicated track only 1st gen.
Unfortunately, the guy with the REPU's and Rotary powered Sprite forgot the event was being held today. He was dissappointed when I talked to him a few minutes ago.
I also want to give a special word of thanks to Jordan for taking the time to make our custom lazer cut stainless trophies. No telling what those would have cost, had we needed to rely on an outside vendor.

I need a rotary mechanic in Tulsa. My car has developed the infamous idle bounce. With the car running at operating temp, no electrical loads, and the AC off, the idle bounces between 1,000 and 1,200. If I turn on the AC, idle jumps to about 1,200 but stops bouncing. It's done this once before, and I just turned the car off and started it again and it stopped doing it. Normally, it idles at about 800 and there's no bounce. I took it to have the AC worked on last week, and when I picked it up, the idle bounce had returned. I've looked all around and I can't see where any vacuum lines have come off. I've disconnected the battery and restarted it to let it relearn the idle, but once it warms up to operating temp, the bounce is back. I really don't have the mechanical know-how to start doing anything more detailed than looking for loose vacuum lines. Is there a good rotary mechanic in Tulsa that could fix this? The car has an Apexi controller with a power commander installed, but I'm not sure the power commander works since it just displays the Apexi logo and won't scroll through any menus.
Thanks
