Texas/LSU fans set the record straight!

You may have already heard about this but just in case I thought I'd throw it out there anyway as I'm sick and tired of all the nonsense and hype that surrounds USC and it's about time other teams get the respect and props they're due:

Check out this site:

http://onepeat.com/

here is more info:

An enterprising LSU grad and Dallas resident doesn’t want USC fans and Los Angeles residents to forget what happened at the Rose Bowl.

The Tiger alum is raising money through his Web site onepeat.com to place a billboard in Los Angeles that asks the not-so-friendly question:

“Shouldn’t dynasties win more than one?”

The question is a reference to all the talk about USC’s football dynasty. LSU fans have objected whenever USC’s 2003 national championship has been mentioned, noting that the Tigers won that year’s BCS championship game. USC finished No. 3 in the 2003 BCS rankings but was voted national champ by the Associated Press media poll. And, of course, USC’s try for a third straight national title (or second, if you prefer) was thwarted by the Longhorns on Jan. 4 in the Rose Bowl, leaving the Trojans with one BCS trophy to show for their three-year “dynasty.”

The wise guy at onepeat.com reports raising $964 so far for the billboard. He estimates he needs $10,000 for a one-month billboard rental in L.A.

I think this is the point exactly, that they only won 1 "true" championship, yet everyone claims they were on the verge of 3 or whatever. And yes, there's obviously a bit of bias as far as sc is concerned, after all they reside in the same place as 90% of the media lol Auburn got the shaft last year, as did Oregon this year and who knows who gets it next year....until they have a playoff system, there is always going to be one team that gets screwed no matter what.

yup, there is no reason not to have one, it works for all the other college sports without fail, take the cwb world series and the ncaa basketball for instance, those are prime examples of how things should be with football as well. We'd have more games to watch which would equal tons more revenue and and all the teams get a fair shake to boot.

Not to argue but Oregon with those hideous uniforms only lost by 3 didnt know that was getting the crap kicked out now. Texas then kicked the crap out of USC. Zero U finally got healthy and showed they can win a game this year.

They will lose to Texas though again next year.

word, even if they did lose their record was way better against better teams than FSU who got to play in a BCS bowl with 4 flippin' losses on their record....argh I'm not trying to diss sc or anything, but I am sick of them being called the greatest evah and all that nonsense, their streak was a remarkable acheivement, might have been an even more remarkable had they been in the Big12 or SEC
