I have been looking at apartments in this area as I plan on moving here for school. Are these areas nice (not the hood). I currently live in the subs of NJ, I would like to live in an affordable but safe area. A nice area, are these two listed good areas in Houston? I see already that these prices are really inexpensive compared to Jersey, so I have o idea how to base it on, so I am asking you guys that are from the area.
How are the jobs out there, I need to work around my school schedule which cuts out the chances of a 9-5 job, like I have now (CAD Operator/Designer for an Engieering Consultant firm).

hey bro, spring valley is a nice area........cops are real punks though!!! around the edges of spring valley is a lil rough........doesn't take long to get to the ghetto from there. if your looking for a place thats less than 700 a month, would reconsider. not entirely sure bout hilshire village.......if it's on the south side of I-10 you'll be alright.....good luck

 

It is east of spring valley on the map. I saw a lot of places in Sring Valley for less than 6 a month.
