Someone has been naughty

My friend copied some info he found off of a news site but now he can't find exactly where he got it from since he had just copied the text from eariler today and saved it to show me because i guess he assumed I'd either know who it was, or would want to know. Anyway

"Last night Officer John Baker did a routine violation stop on a sports car ::Mazda RX-7:: when the driver sped off as the officer walked towards the vehicle, due to the sports car's perfomance upgrades, Officer John Baker failed to catch up to the speeding Mazda. He was in a Z28 Highway Cruiser"

Soooo, I assume this guy may have exterior mods, a loud exhaust, exhaust flamage, or a loud BOV and/or turbo for them to know this car had "performance upgrades."

Found this one from a couple of weeks ago:

Firefighters free man stuck in car after wreck

ARLINGTON -- A 23-year-old Fort Worth man was trapped inside his Mazda RX7 for nearly an hour Monday after he lost control of the car and slammed into a tree.

Christopher Bise was driving south on Fielder Road just south of Sanford Street about 11:20 a.m. when he lost control on the wet pavement, witnesses said.

The car slid onto the curb, struck the front end of two cars parked at Landmark Terrace Apartments and then collided sideways with a tree, witnesses said.

Bise was pinned inside his car, and firefighters used hydraulic equipment to pry off the door and peel back the roof.

Bise was freed from the wreckage just as his wife arrived at the scene.

He was flown by helicopter to Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth. His condition was unavailable. However, Arlington police officer Dan Whittington said the injuries appeared to be non-life threatening.
