Ok so post event post, I took the family out we had fun. For those of you in the San Antonio area and know of the event it was your typical friday evening cruise-in. We got there early and got a good spot, went inside Biff's and got some burgers and drinks. Cars started showing up from all the American Makes and then there were also some imports. As for the rotaries we were a little thin but there were a couple of FDs and FCs. Ours was the only FB that was there and there was a 626 with a BridgePort that cops eye'd well when let loose with a some high RPM open exhaust blasts. Overall it was a fun event and we got lots of positive comments on the widebody. I will be going again next Friday if anyone else wants to come.

Awwww dang. Wish I would have seen this, would have dragged myself out there to see ya and the widebody, unfortunately the FB is down due to a broken transmission crossmember mount but should be fixed by next friday.

You should definitely try to come out to Cars n Coffee at the end of this month, that is always a great show for family and friends.

I will only be in town until the 25th this time. I will be at our shop off and on nearly every day until then. the Army in their infinite wisdom decided to station me at Ft Riley, oh well 20 years and retirement is only Feb 2012. My family will stay here as this is where I am retiring to. Darren if you need some parts come see me we have a bunch really cheap.... that way i won't have to put them away.... LOL I will do cars and coffee but only if it is next weekend but we will do Biffs for sure. I am thinking about bringing out the #33 car as well

 

Unfortunately Cars n Coffee would be on the 28th, but I will definitely get in contact with you about parts, I'll send you a PM and we can set up an appointment or something.

Gotta get the FB all set up for school duty by next week and quite a bit to do so hopefully I can find some stuff....unfortunately what I need most [loud and obnoxious and I get up EARLY for school] is a new exhaust/muffler but that will have to wait until december.

These are the things I need to do, not quite sure what you might have:

• Rebuild at least the rear calipers due to the drivers side one leaking
• Get a new brake master cylinder or atleast a rebuild kit
• Transmission outputshaft seal
• Oil Pan Gasket
• Window Run Channel Seals
• Window Seals, at the very least the exterior

 

We will be going to Biffs again tomorrow. We will be taking 2 Rx7s tomorrow the widebody again and we will be bringing out the #33 for the first time.

 

There was a big turnout tonight at biff's and I am very happy to report that the Rotary community was well represented. We brought 2 cars and I know that I saw at least 6 others there. Thanks for coming out guys and gals it will be a little bit for I can get to another one we are going to try to do something like an open house at the shop later in the year when it is a little cooler.

So, is this an meet every Firday? I will be movin to San Antonio in April and I am looking foward to hitin up any local meets and checkn out the locaal cars.

 

There is a meet every friday but not much rotary powered cars have been showing up. Cars have been down as most RX7s

 

Fri night(7-8ish) @ Biff Buzby's Burgers on the NE side is a pretty good meet. Also check out our local RX forum... alamomotoring.com

Biffs + Rain = No FDs

 

on wed nights there use to be nice meet at the alamo draft house few weeks back but got kicked out, lately on wed they have been meeting up at the harbor freight parking(off vance jackson) lot around 9pm my FC has been down for a lil over a year so i have just been driving my 07 mazdaspeed3 but my gf brings her red FC out from time to time on the wed meets. i havent been to the harbor freight meet yet but gonna try going this coming wed
