Bumping this thread to say hello.

I'm Nick, in Metairie area. Just bought an LS1 FD. I'm going to be looking for a new hood, headlights, front bumper, sideskirts, and a paintjob soon.

Just thought I'd drop by!

I bought the one in Houston:

I'm looking to overhaul the exterior since the car is pretty much perfect for me mechanically. I want to do new headlights/hood/sideskirts/front bumper/paint. The paint on this car is pretty bad and is gonna need serious prep work for a new one.

I'm not sure what hood I want, I like the functionality of the vented hood, but love the clean look of the stock hood. I also want to convert to hood pins since my latch just broke -_-

If you'd be willing to sell the hood for a good price I'd probably be willing to take it off your hands. I just need some time to recover financially, lol.

yo Josh? Look I'ma try and be as short and sweet as possible I'm going to be new rx8 owner I've been doing my research on them for years this has been my dream car since a kid and now I finally have the chance to own one! Ironically my neighbor is the owner/seller (turns out he's a Mazda lover) but the only problem is the car has been sitting up for OVER 5 years as his family grew and he purchased another vehicle so as I noticed it began to sit longer and longer I contacted him about buying it and here I am. It's a 2005 GT with the Recaro seats nav heated seats whole 9 but as I mentioned it has been sitting 5 ever. He's selling it to me for what it's worth which in its current state isn't much but that's perfect for me cause the money I'm saving on the car I can spend on the work needing to be done and I feel as if I'll come out better just replacing the whole motor. I've been doing hella Google searches, look ups, and just spending hours reading thru forums and could not find anybody replace the motor or atleast point me in the right direction I want the car so bad I really almost convinced a friend of mine who is proficient with cars to just say eff it and swap the motor out ourselves but I actually want professional help and couldn't find it until I stumbled across some one talking about you on these forums. Oh did I mention I'm in New Orleans???? Well about 30 mins outside of it which is nothing but That has been my biggest point how hard it is to find someone to work on or replace this rotary in Louisiana which also strayed me away from buying an rx8 but now Im in the position where I have a reliable car already and was more willing to take this rx8 on as a project car so the bottom line is I need you to help me with that. I hope I'm not coming off to aggressive or so I do realize my tone in this message is a little pushy but I'm honestly just excited to discover you're shop because now Im one step closer to something I love and that makes me overly anxious lol so if you see this message before Monday that's great but if not I will be calling the shop first thing Monday and tell you all about this anyway 😂 I look forward to meeting you man and I hope your as much of a help to my journey as I expect you to be thanks an advance even if your not.

Who's worth a damn for mounting? I just put a set of RT660s on the stock wheels. Found out the old rubber was near voting age Had the Firestone by Lakeside do it, not the best job, not the worst.

My tires are from around 09…they’re like driving on ice. Not quite voting age…but hitting puberty. Hard to find a good affordable tire place. Used to like I10 tire but Sabah doesn’t really do the work anymore since he hurt his back. I need to get my stock rims redone. Was thinking RimPros. I’ve used Firestone for my other cars but not quite sure once I get my rims cleaned up.
