NOPI and the NDRA return to Texas - March 10th and 11th 2007
#26
Well Slammed and Ozz, I will be there saturday and leave the car there overnight (provided there is security). If you guys only show up on sunday, look for my car and try to park close. I think it would be best that we schedule a time for us all to get parked together in order to stay together.
Might want to register just in case as well. http://register.nopi.com/dsp_carregistration.cfm
4692314971 is my number. When you guys get there, dont park into the show just yet. Get everyone together and then get situated and then get parked. Id rather us not get parked into a buncha cars that we wont enjoy being next to.

Nothing is posted on the website yet...
It doesnt look they they are really into getting it updated in time for the event... no wonder these events fail, the promoters don't even cover the basics.

Gotham Racing 20B conversion at NOPI
Hi guys!
I'm David Hayes and have a thread going on the forum documenting my 20B conversion:
https://www.rx7club.com/build-threads-292/kilo-racing-3-rotor-fd-conversion-325733/
When you have a few minutes (or many, many hours) check it out. Some of it is quite interesting. To make a long story short, the car is currently at Gotham Racing and will be completed over the next few days. I'm flying into Dallas this Friday afternoon to check out the car.
The plan is to use the weekend as "shake down cruise" for the car. On Friday evening, I'm going to hang out with Steve Kan and watch him tune the car. The plan is for him to have the car street tuned prior to me showing up and then dyno tune the car while I'm there. On Saturday tuning will continue (if needed) and then we're going over to NOPI for the show.
Thought I'd extend the invite to you to check out the tuning or find us at NOPI if you have an interest in seeing the car. It's a 20B conversion with a T51R BB turbo. Hope to see you over the weekend!

I made it!!!
Damn. 7 hour drive. But I'm in Ennis now. I'll be at the show tomorrow, and leave after that. My friends don't want to stay till Sunday, so we'll only be at the show Saturday. Look for us with some "Rotary, My Anti-Piston, TeamC-4.com" t-shirts.

Well, I missed NOPI. Was at Gotham late Friday and all day Saturday so I never made it. Steve Kan also didn't as his drag car wasn't ready to go so we spend the afternoon tuning on my car. Hope you all had a good time

No rain on sunday till after 8pm. Unfortunately, no rotaries went to the finals. Ken was the last one still in and I think semi finals red lighted at the line and was knocked out. None the less, the rotaries were represented on the track and at the show.
Everyone should have come out and joined the fun!

Sorry about the dissapointment in 2nd round eliminations...the car is still having transmission/clutch issues. At least the car made a decent pass on Saturday. We'll be in Shreveport next Sunday running again.
