wow, what do you know. a hispanic male committing a crime...probably an illegal.
my father's truck was recently broken into (gulf coast, FL) by, you guess it: a hispanic male. the illegal was eventually caught (and deported, according to authorities), but only after getting away with $6k worth of new or fairly new power tools and accessories.

I was chatting with a car buddy today and was reminded about this incident. Sigh... the memories... Cant believe its already been 3 years.
A toast to having gone through so much and still going strong. A toast to everyone that endures challenges with their cars, with life, the pursuit of happiness and not stopping no matter the obstacles. And a toast to the love of rotaries.

I had not seen this thread and this Ahole comment.
We have thousands of crimes commited daily in the USA by males and females, legal and illegal residents and blacks/white/hispanics/asians/indians/native americans/red necks/white trash/********/etc.
So, it has nothing to do with being illegal, hispanic or of the male gender.
Read a book, educate yourself before you open your mouth and say such a stupid comment.
Our nice and good neighborhood, has been struck twice during the past 2 summer's by white male anglos of legal residence.
Imagine that!!!
Should/could I say, kick all the legal white male anglos out of our country???

Wait, you say! Don't they have valet parking? Indeed, they do and I used it.
But it turned out that those nice white valet guys were running a ring and they had an accomplice steal the car right off the lot by leaving the keys in the car's sunvisor instead of storing them in the lecturn lockbox, as normal.
I tell you, there is no more sickening feeling of being violated than realizing your pride and joy has been stolen. Like Huy, my car was recovered that very morning and the cops took me to the car to limp its sad butt home. I had to redo the spark plug wires because the thieves just shredded stuff under the hood trying to steal bling...after destroying my interior getting all of the stereo stuff loose and tossed in a box.
Unlike Huy, the thieves got caught. We had two cases of brew in the backseat for the "afterparty" at Lake Arlington (this is WAY back in the day when there was no open container law) and the scum drank ALL of it....just TWO of them. They were so blasted they couldn't even run from the cops.
I settled later for $4500 with the parents' lawyers since they didn't want their precious 20-something delinquents to stay in jail another week. They never let me see the jerks or the parents...but that $4500 was a sweet deal for back then. I knew they would never know where to find me since they were Irving punks and it was supposedly the first time they had ever done it. It wasn't until later that I found out the cops busted a theft ring at the Saloon. I don't do valet now because of that episode.
Glad you got the car back, man.

Now, now, this won't actually solve anything, you're just falling for the conservative talk show lies. As I read this story, it took me way back to when my poor lil 1968 Pontiac Firebird got stolen from, shall we say, a gentleman's club, the Million Dollar Saloon.

Lol... this thread has taken a turn for the worse. Glad you got some sorta compensation Mar3. Im lucky enough to either have the daily driver to valet (which I rarely do) or have someone else drive me when I'm out. Scary thought though to think that you hand over keys and never see your car again.
