LSU Formula SAE Car Show

Hey guys,
I don't post often, but I would like to invite all of you to the annual LSU FSAE car show. It's only $10 to enter. Trophies will be awarded to each class. I hope you can bring your rx-7, rx-8, or any other rotary. Last year, omgitsjason and I brought our sevens out there. He ended up winning in our class. This year, I will be helping with organizing, but will still have my car out there (stock 93 vr touring). I think Jason is also going to bring his. I would love to see rotarys take over this event. If you can make it, please come and support our Formula SAE team. It is going to be on campus in the Patrick F Taylor building parking lot (formerly CEBA). Let me know if you have any questions.

Rx7 people in baton rouge!? I had no idea! I've elusively tried to chase down the very few other FD's i've spotted but to no avail! Sadly, my car isn't quite pretty enough to be seen with others. It's a faded blue MB that looks like it has a bullet hole in the door

Haha, my fd actually stays in a garage at my parents house in Morgan City, but I go home most weekends to take it out for a drive. I would keep it here with me, but it only has 51,000 miles on it and I have no garage and its public parking at my apartment. I will try to bring it to the car show if the weather holds out. You should come by, with or without your seven.

Sadly mine's ticking up on 136k and it's shows. I rarely catch a glimpse of any RX7's in the area, though someone was yelling at me in traffic that they had an FC and were looking for an FD in the area but i've only seen about 10 or so in the two years i've been down here. I'll try to make it over there. Wish I had my FC's, those are at least worthy of being shown.

I've driven both of my FC's to baton rouge before.... The only other RX in LA i've ever seen was in NOLA.

As far as i know, there are quite a few rx-7 owners in La., but like I mentioned before, mine is mainly a weekend driver.

Yeah, I seem to know more that are west (Lake charles, Alexandria, etc). I've seen a black S5 lately, looked like a GTU. I usually feel like an idiot honking and waving becuase I'm usually in my WRX.

well im not scared to drive mine on a daily basis! if something breaks on it i will replace it with bigger and better...*corsses fingers nothing breaks soon*
i have dents, dings, scratches, bruises...no not really, but you can see its a daily driver that some coonass in his chevy pick-up hit when he decided to be the dumbasses that most of them are down here in louisiana and drive through a ditch going to a gas station.
...but that will soon be replaced once i get all my 99 spec stuff.
ill be there if the weather holds out!

If would be awesome if you could bring the FC out Geauxkart. The weather looks iffy. It may hold out until later in the evening. We (LSU FSAE) will be out there regardless, rain or shine. It is too late to cancel, plus it doesn't look like we will need to. The car show will be off of Nicholson extension which intersects Nicholson, near the stadium. If you reach Highland, you have gone too far. SonicRaT, Jason, Geauxkart, and anyone else interested in coming, I really hope to see you out there tomorrow.
