Well I'm from the monroe area and there is atleast 8-10 2nd gens
running around and about the same 1gens. Very few 3rd gens however I see more and more as I look around.
Would be interested in meeting up some day with other 7 owners.
north and south 7's should meet in central LA this summer.
maybe spring since some of use might have a over heating problem
or a/c removed!!!!
I have meet and had work done by Jose in Shreveport. I impression is that he wants to just stay busy working on cars
and selling them. Not real interested in helping to develope a car to something fast and deadly, unless it is a track car only.
He does not approve of street racing at all.
I have in past talked about my car 90 gtu that had a idle problem with it and his answer was basically that it should be
carbed so it would run better and not have any electrical problems. NOT the answer I wanted.
however some of the guys are right that he does know rotary's and has a large inventory of cars and parts.
great guy to visit with however I would refrain from him working on my car again. I haved learn more about it by self taught and
asking questions on forums like this. But best thing ever was
paying $80 for the Factory service manual to fix car, most negative was paying jose $100 to tell me to go with carbs after
car set at his shop for over 2 weeks. problem was minor fix
and saved tons money.
think he sees $$$$$ when a RX-7 stumbles into his shop.

Well,
He's like every mechanic is who owns a shop that I know, they're not going to sit there and tell you the cheapest alternative to fix your car unless you specifically ask, remember they have to keep their doors open.
When I went to Jose I told him what I wanted and nothing more and nothing less, that’s why there’s no additive and only fluid in the rear end right now, I forgot to tell him that I wanted it in there to prevent the shudder when turning.
If you want a real down to earth mechanic and live in the South go to Jades Automotive in Zachary, LA. That's my step dad and he's honest to all the people that come in and that’s why he does so much business, he just bought a HUGE shop to work on more cars at a time because they were only able to do three at a time and had cars backed all the way to the street and in the parking lot filled up because people liked him so much.
My step dad has racers come into his shop (real racers, drag racers) that refuse to let anyone else work on their car but him because Jade knows what he's doing. I'm going to eventually get to take over the family business but I have to learn from the best so I'll be moving down south in the coming years and starting to work beside him to learn his every move.
If you're interested in my step dads shop/work then I can get you the address and number, I don’t have the recent up-to-date address/phone number but I could get it almost in a few minutes (granted its not late at night when he's asleep).

hey guys, just signed up tonight. I have a red 1986 13b and just bought a salvaged 1990 for parts last week. Just wanted to know if there were any other 2g owners around the St. francisville area. If I can figure out how to post pictures on this site I will do that. Also there is a nice quarter mile track in Erwinville that is open every friday night for us speed lovers to check out how our performance tuning is going.

What's SAE? I'm in a 1985 Mazda RX7 GSL-SE, you'll see me running around town in Shreveport whizzing through places because its so fun to drive like that in this little car.
Hell, my dad, always sits there and complains about me racing people in my Thunderbird but he has never ever said anything about me racing people in my RX7, I raced his rx8 although I got beat it wasnt that bad.

hey man whats up. The first tII I ever bought was from a guy in baton rouge and actually it's the one I still have I think the N.O. guys usually get together (7's by the shore) the texas guy's seem to be way more active then the L.A. guys Anyways maybe if we get enough 7 guys to speak up we might beable to get something going but here is the thing. There is probably as many 7 guys in houston or dallas as there are in L.A. period so for them to get together is easy because it's the same town however we have to drive down from all over the place to meet up centrally so I don't think that many people would be up for it. Maybe I'm wrong. Nice to meat you though man are both those rides n/a?

Hey Guys,
Who owns the green 2nd generation in Shreveport? It's got rims and some horrible exhaust that I wasnt a fan of, I was premixing when you came out the store and was staring at your car (at the chevron).

BTW I think I had another tech greek sighting. Youree and whatever street comes out from beside performance car wash and Bank One. You made a left onto Youree and then a right onto Pierremont.

That family has some serious driving talent, man. Robbie drove Sonic Boom's drag civic at the track a while ago and went 9.60, 9.70, and 9.80 all over 150 trap. IIRC, that is the only FWD car in Louisiana to hit 9s. You can put Robbie in any car or kart, whether he has ever driven it or not, and he can turn faster times then the owner 95% of the time. It's amazing what he can do behind the wheel.

hahahha,
Yeah, I work at the car wash, I also live right down the road from there, I take the same turn going to work at about 65 MPH, my friend got a picture of it and its pretty friggin cool to see my car dipping like that and not even chirping the tires...
I got pissed off today, all the traffic so I did it the Louisianan way and drove down the e-lane until I got to turn right.
You can't freaking miss my car, it's blue with oxidized paint and I’m always flooring it everywhere, hell last night I flew past a cop on youree (while downshifting to use engine braking without my car dipping to let the cop know that I saw them) and the guy behind me got a ticket in his mustang! HAH! Some little older supra with a fart can tried to take me down millicent in the curves...he lost

hahaha, yeah I noticed you got on it a little, thought I heard the tires chirp a bit. thought it might have been because you saw the elise go through the light the opposite way and felt "inspired". I know I was.

Yeah,
That was defintley me, I was the guy in the sun glasses, I go around chirping 1-2 everywhere, it scares the **** out of people when I do that!
I stared at the elise, I got a photo of it hanging up in my wall and I've had the poster since it was in concept art form, the poster is torn from moving so much but its still a pretty damned cool.
First elise I've seen in shreveport, I think it was chasing that viper that passed a few seconds earlier...

Yeah I saw you and the elise. I was in the white BMW turning onto the street you were leaving. Missed the viper. Really wanted to get one of those. Could have bought one with all the money I've poured into the money pit. <sigh>
