Negative,

NRW is below Baton Rouge isn't it? I've been a few times but I've never personally driven, slept.

Dr. Killjoy tried to organize a GTG for Houston and New Orleans in Lake Charles last Feb., but there was little interest.

I know I wanted you guys to come but no one wanted to. If there would have been more people interested I would have set something up with the miata people as well so we could have had some fun with those guys as well. Oh well guess louisiana is just to borring.

We just can't drive that far without something breaking; so, we save the time, money and frustration by not going...

hey Pelezo just to inform you that your not really 1 of only 3 1st gens in Shreveport.

my 50'something lady boss has a 84 that still is running.

If you see a 85 in FORD RACING YELLOW with twin black racing stripes on it then that was my 2nd 1st gen that I sold after I got it painted. supposedly the guy is trying to drop in a V8 since he killed the motor. I dont mind saying it was sweet and that was back in the day before anyone was modding imports..

I am still thinking about getting together. I just dont want to be cruising thru Shreve City looking at a bunch of punks. too old for that .

I might be in for a meet someplace with other rotary people.

Well,

I decided to go ahead and build up my Thunderbird and let my little brother have this car so my dad can keep his 12A.

I'll keep the RX7 for now, it'll just be my daily driver, thats it.

Thanks,
Eric M. Pelezo

I was just browsing around and saw the roll call for Lousiana. I'm Jordan and I'm from Lafayette. I drive a 93 Montego Blue FD (auto, don't hate). I would be glad to meet up with some other rotary owners. Only 7 I see around here is a red FD, met the guy last week, nice guy. Just thought I would introduce myself to the fellow rotary owners of Louisiana.

IIght fella's here's the deal. I just moved here to Shreveport from up north in the Dakota's and just happend to look back at my old forums to try and get in a meet. The only problem is that I traded my 10 AE prior to leaving and no longer have a seven. I would like to get another one in the local area so if you know of any leads let me know. I'm intrested in a T2. doesn't matter what color but I prefer black or white. If you all wanna meet I game to ride but I just won't be in a seven for now.

let me give you guys a little info.

Jose is from Puerto Rico and in PR they arent very rich so they make do with what they have. so happens that they know more about making a rotary fast then anyone. they have done it for years. I have met guys that really know there crap and knew it way before most of you guys knew what a rotary was.

now Jose is not the best. he worked at the local Porsche/ MAZDA dealer for 15yrs and was back in the 80's the ONLY person who could even touch a rotary in North LA.

Now his problem is greenbacks-he likes them way too much. HE also nearly died in a car wreck and doesnt do as much work as he used to.

He has tons of cars and many that are very cool , fast and original. he just wants too much.

If you have cash for real then you might be able to get a nice car.

I have seen them and worked for him and been around rotaries for 28 yrs because of him and I still dont know much like some people.

I am not defending him but if you live in Louisiana and need some parts which are hard to find then he probably has it. he has over a 100 parts cars in his shop.

If nothing else go check out the 1100 HP 3 rotor 85 RX7 he is putting together now

Well,

You don't really 'cruise' through Shrevecity, you just park until the cops show up. I'm defintley not fast but what's really funny is no one will race me due to the RX7's name and legend, most people dont even know its an RX7 until I show them the badge and rotary engine and they say "Yeah I have those things come up to me on the street, I dont mess with them because I know how fast they are!" hah!

Anywho, all the Shreveport guys (and out of towners if you want) we could meet up at Shrevecity (lets play spot the RX7, not too hard) one night (Friday/Saturday). I've got a few other friends that would show up with us, ones a 12 second cougar the others a slowmo protege (which I almost lost to).

I called him he said my LSD is shot and it would be wise to replace the whole rear end, not just the gears...

Why doesn't it run TP?

I'm getting Jose to re-do my Third Member either Monday or Tuesday.

If I only knew. I'm new to these things so right now it's just sitting. I just got it yesterday though. Someone needs to come look at it for me. I'm thinking of just pulling that motor out and starting over with a whole new one. I wanna go big though.

what exactly does it do when you try to turn it over? YOu know I wish I would have known you about a week or two ago because there was a red convertable with aftermarket front bumper and nice 3kgt spoiler and great looking red paint that a mechanic was selling for 800 bucks! the engine had the dreaded pd fire but all it needed was a new wireing harness and some hoses witch we could have done pretty easily. I was going to buy it but I couldn't justify spending the money (fiance wouldn't let me, lol) anyways a guy named jose bought it last week. IF you are into the rotary thing for any amount of time you will hear his name, he is supposed to be very good at rebuilding engines and everything as far as rotaries go but from what I saw of him he looked like a ghetto mexican dude, lol. Anyways let me know whats wrong and if you want I could stop by on like a saturday or something and take a look at it.

He may be ghetto looking but he knows his rotarys! I'm going to take a bunch of pictures of his shop and him and his cars when I go today to drop off my baby for third member work!

TurboPunk, the only way you'll learn with these engines is to try things by your self before you ask for help or ask someone to guide you and teach you, that's what I had to do and I still suck at them! :P

Jose has got to be one of the most popular names around the Rotory Arena due to this known work and police cars.

Who wants to see some digital pictures when I get back?

well the jose I'm talking about lives in lake charles, lol. He has the same name but is not the same guy as the one that owns joserotary. This guy works at the local mazda dealer I believe and anytime I go into a parts store and try to get something for my rx7 they say do you know jose, haha. Anyways yes it is good to find things out on your own however there is no use reinventing the wheel if you know what I'm talking about. Anyways hit me up.
