LA Rotorheads, let's gear it up for a meet on Sunday June 25th. I just got word from longtime member and friend of ours (Charlie and the Mrs.) that they will be coming in that weekend. I'd like to shoot for that Sunday as the Meineke crewe should be available to join us. As Josh mentioned there will be a Zephyr Field AutoX going on and we could all just meet up there. Afterwards, we could cruise over to Fox and Hound or perhaps Reginnelis Pizza for some Grub. Then we can end it up with a screening of Fast and Furious Tokyooooooo Drift.

I still remember, one of our first meets when we all got together for the Oscar Winning Fast and Furious. Anyway, we'll play that by ear. I'll set a def. time once I hear back from Charlie but let's try and kick this off in the a.m. (10 ish).

ALL LA ROTOREADS are welcomed and I'm talking to you Lafayette, Gulfport, Northshore, and our usual crew !! Also look fwd. to meeting the new 7 owners that haven't had a chance to join us in the past.

Josh, just reread your post. Looks like the AutoX is only on Sat ?? For those that want to do the AutoX go out there and Represent the 7's.

If Freddie, Jonathan and the Houma crewe can make it Saturday let's do it. If not I'd still like to do the meet on Sunday so that we can have everyone on hand. I'm pretty sure Charlie is free both days ??

We can meet up for food at Fox and Hound OR Reginellis (both at Elmwood), then do a cruise out to either the lakefront or the FLY near Audubon Park and finish it off with the movie for whoever wants to stay for that.

We'll work out the details this week.

 

I am ther for both days. You know I will try and represent for autox, but I would like some guys to support my inexperienced driving autox skills. I know I can drag my trin (Marshall) with me,but it would be really cool to get 3 MB out there. Cough Cough Jack We need a fb and fc to represent too. Anywho, see ya'll either sat and/or sunday.

Damn, it looks like I'm going to have to break out the Mikuni manual sooner than I thought. I really need to get this thing tuned; so I can get out there with y'all.

You'll have to excuse if we have to stop MULTIPLE times on both days to fill up, though. So far, I have 110 miles on this tank, and I have a 1/4 tank left. AND I'M NOT EVEN DRIVING HARD... AT ALL. I think I can give a Ford GT a run for its money when it comes to fuel consumption. Heh.

As far as TeH fAsT aNd TeH fUrIoUs(!!!!!!!!!!!!!), I dunno. I promised myself I wouldn't see it, and I have a bad feeling about the fucktards that will be there at the theater. I really don't need to get into a fight because some 14 year old wigger doesn't know how to act in a movie theater. Maybe I can just go with some ear plugs in or something. Hahaha. Blah, what-tehfuck-ev, I'm in.

 

Shawn you need to get your dad to bring his car out as well so I can tag along. Since we cant fit 3 ppl in your 7.lol I dont want to drive my beater out there, it sucks to much ****.

 

My dad said, "I definately want to go", but I don't know if he intends on driving out there or not.

it was in car and driver and road & track i have both issues (for general tires)
no mods only like grounding cables for the 3k hesitation and a different thermostat that engages at a lower temp. for the heat of the south!

I am in for either day but i may have to bring some friends... a buddy will be in town and my wife will probably want to come... got my fender fixed since you guys saw it last and finally got an IC duct.

ordered the rest of my parts yesterday for my NS conversion... hopefully we'll be doing that real soon!

Alright guys, looks like Sunday is a better day for our out of town guests Charlie and Chuck Westbrook, Mark, Jonathan and the Meineke crewe will be off as well. We'll work on def. time and location over the next couple of days.

As for the autoX, I'll most likely swing by and check out Josh and Marshall's autoX debut ! Hopefully a bunch of guys can come out both days.

Quick question, guys. Does Freddie and the guys at Meinike have a mandrel bender? I want to finish my exhaust, but every place around here has a crush bender, and I definately don't want that.

The Mrs and I will be in town on Saturday and Sunday. My wife will probably have plans with some of her girlfriends, but I am pretty much free the entire weekend. So, I am flexible to pretty much do anything. If we get into town early enough on Saturday, I may try to make it out to the Auto X to watch.
