Thumbs up LA rx7 meet anyone?

I am fairly new to the fd (january) and i missed the april meet and was wondering if anyone was interested in trying to put together another one soon. I would like to meet the areas rx owners and possibly get some tips on the fd and tuning knowledge so if anyone is interested PM or email me at jjlee1@olemiss.edu

I can't stand the lakefront, but I'm down with a cruise/bbq. Josh (southernrunner) has said that he is down for a meet at his house, but he wants to get his car running first. Right now, he is on his way to Georgia to pick up his engine because the guy who built it is a jackass. He still has quite a bit of work to do to get it operable once he gets his engine in, though. He has a nice big driveway, though, and any additional parking can take place in my driveway.

Ted said that we are going to have a meet when Charley comes down. We don't know exactly when that will be yet, but it is supposedly going to be happening soon. Don't worry, Ted won't leave us out in the dark on a meet. Heh.

My car is running, but it badly needs a tuning, the A/C needs to be fixed, the title needs to be transferred, and I need to find a insurance company that won't take both an arm and a leg.

*EDIT* JOSH YOU CAN NEVER POST AGAIN! YOUR POST COUNT, AS OF NOW, IS 777. I REPEAT, NEVER POST AGAIN!

Unhappy

sounds good to me I actually am having problems with mine overheating at the moment and cant seem to figure out what it is. It starts fine and runs good but the temp continues to rise i have an fmic which is now blocking the radiator and one of my fans is not working could this be the prob or maybe something else.

OK guys. I know yall want to do a meet, so I got an idea. This will be sort of a meet for us/ make our presence known(7's on the shore club known)/ fun to trash talk each other. Here we go,

They have a AUTOX meet sceduled for June 24th at Zypher field as their return to New Orleans event.

They would like to make this a late-starting Saturday event, mainly for exposure purposes. The event to wrap up around 5-6pm, and take advantage of the extra daylight and traffic. First car out at around 11am or so. I am guessing registration will be about 8-10a.m.

Turnout should be 80-100 drivers with many spectators. Course should be short, smooth, and safe for novices.

I am going to go and give it a shot no matter what, but thought I could get some of you guys, IE the better drivers than me, to come out and represent our beautiful machines. It is a chance to have fun, talk some smack to each other, and **** around like normal. Hopefully ted will even bless us with his presence even though he is a trader. j/j

Anywho, let me know what you guys think about this.

-josh

I pretty much have to go if I want to keep the MazdaComp membership open. I've never autocrossed a car before, and it has been at least 5 years since I've been on an autoross course in a kart. So, get ready to laugh at me! Haha.

Josh, are you asleep? I was thinking about coming over, but I figured that you were asleep, considering you just drove to Georgia and back without sleep.

^ Well, I have only autocrossed once, and it was not in my FD so we shall see how it goes. I am sure you will be better than my ***.

My FD isn't really set-up for tight autoX courses, but I will try to make it out there...and some pics for Tuesday's enjoyment.

I did get some poly sway bar mounts up front, and a bar that is worth more than a decoration in the rear...so it will be fun to find out when the rear likes to come around

It hasn't been bad since Katrina. The normal crowd of ricers and wannabe thugs hasn't been coming out on Sundays. They close Lake Shore Dr. at dark now.

people meet at Bonnabel boat launch...it's lame there though! But it is at least a meeting point for us if we want! They won't let u hang out at the Joe's part of the lake past shelter one or in the lot across from Joe's...The point is open but its kind of hard to get a bunch of us there!

no leaks, closed at idle, and vents as much boost as I can throw at it...I wish I could unscrew the "horn" and get a hose adaptor on there, other than that...no complaints
