Had fun tho, the 7 brought waaay more attention than I would have thought. My wife, while cold got a kick out of everyone checking out our car.

Dynoed FINALLY @ 308.3 hp , torque number was skewed though in the 270 range. (because of something when they were setting up) Now I just need some tuning!

Wanted to stay to have car judged in show but was cold and wife was hungry. If the amount of attention was any clue we would have placed in something.

Missed most of the drifting while in line for dyno but was a good trip...

Marc, shoot me a pm and I'll send you that part.
that car was sooooo clean! thanks for bringing it up to have it tested!

yeah? really? we blew someone's motor up? i guess you didnt stick around to see that civic put down 609whp to the rollers, eh? proabaly not. how could he have gotten better results on the dyno? please elaborate as I'm curious to know. we cant ever get it straight eh? yet we've hosted dyno days for several makes of cars and this is our third time out there and going to another MOPAR show in march. yeah... we dont have it staright. you're so right. we dont blow up engines, sir. please get your facts straight before making a complete tool out of yourself in a general forum.

ok up hold up don't get pissed..... i wasn't refering to all dyno's i've just been to a car show where a Neon RT was being dynoed with nitrous and the guy testing it hit the nitrous too soon and the motor did blow.... i'm not just making it up.... and in reference to this RX-7 being dynoed, he even said that he could have gotten better numbers.... i'm not saying that particular dyno did something wrong but i have witnessed some screw up..... don't get offended.... it's just my opinon

well, the way you wrote it... look at it. anyone would assume that you're referring to our dyno. we havent destroyed a single engine. we would still be paying for it if we did. there have been two occasions where a car has died on the dyno and both of them were the tuner's fault. not ours.

he could have gotten better numbers, sure. but he didnt. he made the same numbers twice. the first time I did start off at a low rpm and didnt get the right number. After he told me where I need to be then his numbers were right on consecutively. the second to last guy made 416, then 525, then 609. yeah, he got better numbers as he increased the boost on his car. that day was the PERFECT day for turbo cars.

sure, everyone has wittnessed some screw-ups with dynos. as for this past show... there was nothing wrong except for the tacho pickup which we had a slight problem with but sorted it out later. I'm not getting offended just clarifying facts and not bothering with opinions.

Saludos.

I just saw the rest of this, I said I needed tuning, that has nothing to do with the dyno or the guys running it, I think Jay and his folks did a fine job. I was happy to finally get an idea what my car would do.

And thanks on the props, bro if you ever see me, come say hi, it's np. Yeah alot of people were coming up but that's fine. After the $$$ and work plus ridiculous amounts of sweat at DCP this past summer, it was gratifying.

I may be going to the car show this weekend in Hammond and enter the car. It was dirty that day and I was a bit embarassed as I usually keep it spotless. (Not to mention my hood emblem flew off on the way down, lol)

I will eventually get the car tuned but I have put off a new fuel system for now at the beckoning of my wife. (We have 4 trips planned this year and so far I have only saved up for one!)

Again, thanks to both of you guys for the kind words about my car, it is truly a labor of love.

take care and hope to see you both at future meets.

P.S. I am gonna take the car to Gulfport dragstrip in a couple weeks to see what it'll do on the 1/4. I was gonna go back to NPR for that but GPT is only 1/2 hour away from my house.
