Howdy from texas!

Well first of all id like to say hello evereee body!
Ive been lurking through the forums for a couple weeks reading up on faq's about my latest purchase. a nice 93 rx7 i stumbled across a couple times in the want ad's. Ive wanted an fd since i first laid eyes on one of my step dad's friends r1 in the summer of 97. And as much as i hate to admit it, seeing the one in FF 1 only galvanized my adolescent lust for these things! *points at picture*

first the spec's!
93' rx7... unsure of package, i believe its a base package, will check vin later
roughly 50k miles on full rebuild of the engine, (sadly) auto-transmission, and turbo's
with documentation
decent interior, but a few plastic cover parts are broken from an overzealous use of force to remove/ replace when painting the car.
tein adjustable coil over suspension
hks downpip w/ racing beat dual tip exhaust
good paint/ novice level work corvette yellow paint job for the Cwest kit which unbelievably was installed quite nicely except for a minor front bumber/hood gap issue. (origionally montego blue)
total price $8995
The frist time i saw it in the thrifty nickel i thought.. naaah no way thats stilll for sale at that price. then nearly 2 months later i went house shopping one saturday and happened to pick up a nickel while i was out and low and behold it was STILL in there.... i went the next day and talked to the owner, checked all the papers and took it for a test drive and absolutely fell in love. Luckily i had about 7k saved up for an ls1 swap for my 95 camaro... my parents were nice enough to lend me the rest of the money, and i bought it 2 days after that. The guy selling it had a long story on his ownership of the car... and the typical "OMG I HAD A KID AND NOW I HAVE TO SELL THIS!!!?!?! NOOOOOO!!!!!" rhetoric.
All in all i think i got a pretty good deal on this car... even though it is an auto transmission. What do yall think?
Also im debateing if i should keep the yellow and have it cleaned up, repaired, and professionally finished or if i should have the whole thing redone, and taken back to the montego blue... im not a big fan of yellow, but this color is growing on me.... and of course a manual swap at some point. WHY EVEN MAKE AUTO SPORTS CARS!!!

Looks nice, If youre thinking about painting it I would go back to a less "bling" color but thats just me. Did you get this car in the Austin area. I believe I saw it craigslist for months. Said something about a vaccum leak, can't remember for sure.

But it looks to be the same car.
