People keep telling me that. My job was done totally by Thursday and pretty much done when registration closed Wednesday night... and there wasn't much going on on the track until Friday afternoon to Saturday.
Good thing there was some stuff to keep me entertained.

Here is a couple of questions: Why do they have a spare car if the rules will not allow them to use it? Why not allow the use of tire warmers?
On the Thursday or Friday practice what kind of lap times were the P1 without traffic or was there traffic always.

What a great race event. I spent all day Friday there and had a blast. I able to ride with Roadsterdoc on some parade laps on the track in the AM. Very interesting how rough the surface was, especially the BUMP, even at slow speed. No wonder the cars were breaking. The Porsche Spyders were great until they broke.
I'm hooked. Let's hope this series continues.

Tire warmers are just one of those things that are illegal in most series. Personally I don't like tire warmers. I feel drivers should have to drive and cold tires are something they should deal with.

The reason I asked is I believe it was Juan Pablo Montoya in either Champ Car or F1, crap out during the start then run back to the paddock and jump in a new cart.
About the tire warmers; It makes sence being endurance and supposed manufactured cars.
Thanks for answering the question, I tried to read the IMSA rule book but did not really get anywhere.
What is the minimum requirments for each class? P1, P2, GT1, Gt2, BHp, weight, ect.

Just a side note. The pair of LMP2 Porsche Spyders which broke in Houston dominated at Mid-Ohio the following weekend. The "slower" Porsche LMP2 cars finished first and second overall leaving the "faster" Audi R8 to settle for third overall. The winning Porsche RS Spyder even had to start from the back of the field when it was found to be slightly underweight after qualifying. Both Spyders turned faster laps than the entire field all day; LMP1 included.
I've always been a Penske fan. I wish him the best of luck at Indy as well.

Looks like Penske's on a roll. More power to him. Too bad it's not with a single driver, though I doubt you could find someone as talented all-round like Donahue.
Still ffffing cool.
