Wow, $60k!! Hope they find the one(s) responsible. Why couldn't they bother some damn piston tuner, and leave the few of us rotorheads alone!!

And, ultimately because of all of this environmental insanity, as prices of food and gas rise, this kind of criminal activity will only get worse.

I'm still baffled on how an engine was stolen. That means there was more than one person and they had plenty of time to pilfer through things.

Yes, its true. It happened on the 19th. We think that it was someone that knows the shop well that did it. I think it was planned for a long time. The security system was disabled, the door of entry (wsa temper with). phone lines were all cut (we just now got it running again). Suvlenace camera system was taken away too.

So far, we estimated that they stole approx $150k worth of stuff. Tools alone was around $60k (all Snap-on and some Matco). We have a full bridge engine with NRS ceramic seals, coated rotors, balanced, studded... etc... that was purposely built for a drag car for a customer that was stolen. 2 tranny, approx 7 PFC was stolen (including PFC that was in customers car). Tial BOV, Turbo kits, turbos, Twin power amp, AEM amp, 2 Exedy triple disk clutch, kaaz diff, TT, two 13B stud kit, Custom racing axles for FD(cost $3000). Supra turbo kits, Supra Hydra ECU.

too many things to list. We are just waiting on our insurance to see what will happen.

We were down for about a week due to lack of tools. We are just now starting to work on cars again (only small stuff until we can get some tools).

Steve, maybe you can ultimately post up an inventory of things club members can be out on the look for. I know my Haltech E11 V2 was stolen along with my Tial blow off valve. How about listing the particulars on the turbos and other inventory stuff so you'll have several hundred people on the look out for you? These items have to surface sometime.

Sheesh...I just finished "recovering" my two '68 Firebirds from a "shop" in that area off 377 not even a month ago...who knows who would've gotten them if I hadn't found and brought them back home them first. Everyone keep an eye on the classifieds or craigslisting for their stuff.

Wow...

I'll keep an eye out on Ebay/Craig's list/local forums. This type of stuff just gets so old so quick. I hope the insurance company doesn't stiff you guys.
