Question DFW Transmission Shop?

Need advice for good tranny shop in the Dallas / Ft. Worth area. I am removing the tranny in my '91 vert for a clutch replacement and wanted to overhaul it for a mild syncro issue. Rotaty Performance is my first choice, but they are booked until late Feb.

Thanks in advance

Brian

Brian, any tranny shop can rebuild your transmission. We have a good shop here in Grapevine. http://www.grapevineautomaticinc.com/

A good friend of mine stores his SSB Miata there. Robert the owner is a nice guy. His dad has been rebuilding transmissions for 40 years. Give them a call see what you think.

Call Alex/Brock at Gotham Racing and see who they use if you want a shop that works on Mazda trannies.

If you are looking for a shop with experience on Mazda tranny's and race applications try Shannon McMasters (sp?) 817-396-4831 , he's got a shop out at MSR and comes highly recommended. He'll be doing mine when here shortly. If you are looking for a budget rebuild though I don't think he's going to be your person.

Hey Mark, I've been waiting for them to post results for the MSR-Cresson race. I'm assuming you were there in the cold. I stayed home and put my fuel cell back togeather.

Thanks for the tip. I dropped the the tranny this weekend and I'm dropping it off at Grapevine for a rebuild. Talked to Rob and his quote was very reasonable...and 2 day service. Installing new Daiken clutch, Mazdaspeed engine mounts, and Bonez high-flow cat during re-install...can't wait for the results.

Wow! I recommend these guys. Great price, nice rebuild.....but I'm really tickled withe the Bonez hi-flow cat and the overall performace boost. I wish now that I had dyno'd it, but it sure feels like 15 - 20 percent more mojo. Thanks to the staff at Rotary Performance as well for all the advice
