DFW RX7/RX8 Club February 2006 Meet
-------------------------------------------------

Our next monthly meet will be Saturday, February 4 at 8pm. We meet in the parking lot behind Cheddars at the intersection of I-635 and MacArthur in Irving. A usual, all cars are welcome.

Last month we had a cruise and everyone who participated had a blast. I personally would like to cruise again *cough*airport cruise*cough*, but what do you guys want? Please vote.

See ya'll there!!

I may be moving in to my apartment that weekend, so not sure if I will be able to cruise or not. I'll still show up though.

Voted "Yes" to the cruise because even if I can't make it, I'd still like to do it!

I should be in town. It has been 5 month since I have been a meeting. Weather & the wife permiting, I will be there.
As for the cruise....I heard it was fun + I just rebuilt a T2 that needs to be broken in. So I am all for it.

It wouldn't happen to be that white one I see parked outside the house, when I drive by to pick up/drop off a coworker, would it?

btw, i just got back from a friend's who helped me install my exhaust system and it sounds pretty good. I dont think I'd be able to do the cruise though as I think I now have multiple hairline cracks on my radiator. I though it was only one and we sealed the one I had found but apparently there are more. With tamed driving it doesn't seem to leak, but it squirted from somewhere when I got on it. Checked my couple month old hoses and they aren't the source. I dunno, but I'll be sure to show up though.

That is the one! It belongs to my daughter now. I get to keep the convertible.

As for your radiator....... you can fix that next Friday on your weekly stop by Curtis.

If yall were messing with that thing on Saturday, I'm surprised I didn't hear that damn thing from my friend's house not to far down the street from your shop, he lives off of Dottie Lynn and Pioneer. Heck, I'm surprised you didn't hear us!(pending we were driving about before you cranked up that 20b) lol. We test drove my car, without the cat-back, down Dottie then turned back around, using Division, to go back to his house. Still having the catalytic convertor on probably helped us from going deaf, as my car was just loudly bassy and nothing unbearable.... but the otherwise "not so loud" backfires now sounded like a gunship firing a cannon. Oh what a fun time it was, but then it was time for the new exhaust to go on.

Well according to my shipment info, I'll have the new radiator either Monday or Tuesday. So I guess I'd be down for the cruise And hopefully BDC will let me use his press tomorrow or something to get the new suspension bushings in by next weekend. I would have done it today, but I was clubbing last night and spent the night at a friend's, and I'm currently at a party right now. So pardon any mispellings or sentences that make absolutely no sense.

Get this! I might actually make it to a meeting in a RX-7! After well over a YEAR of being without rotary love I have (possibly) a running, streetable RX-7. A user on the D/FW RX-7 forum posted a 86 N/A for my favorite price. I called him up and asked if he had the title. A few days later I headed to Granbury with a trailer behind me to retrieve a very tired, worn and generally abused 86 base with some really, really beat up paint. Sandpaper is probably smoother than this paint currently is. It'll likely be my daily driver and guinea pig/spray practice car before it becomes an engine donor for my **** brown 84 GSL.
