Since I'm somewhat new around these parts a quick introduction. My name is Shane and I work for Apex Driving Academy which handles all the focus day events out at MRSC. If you want to do a club day out at MSRC with Apex you have two options.
1) Weekend Event - Price is $190 a person which includes instruction. Apex would be running it's normal 4 run group format with drills. This means that the club would effectively take the novice run group which would include drills, instructor ride and drive, and 4 sessions at speed. Total time on track is around 2 hours. You would need a minimum of 18 people and a max of 20 for this. However there are no weekend spots available until after May.
2) Weekday Event - Price is $165 a person and does not include instruction. Apex would run a two run group format with around eight twenty-five minute sessions with no drills. Weekday spots are available as soon as next week. Minimum of 16 people and a max of 20.
Payment for either of these options would have to be upfront in full for the entire club which means someone here would have to collect and keep track of all the money. In both cases you would be running the 1.7 mile course and not the 1.3 or 3.1.
If the group can't get enough people together for a unified club day other options would be for everyone to pick a certain day when Apex is running their normal weekend events and pre-pay for those (i.e. before they go up on the website as we have been selling out very quickly) or Rice Killers has an event planned for the fall. If you can get at least 10 people to sign up for a regular weekend event you would get free helmet rentals.
If anyone has any questions let me know.

we are going to have a very diverse group when it comes to running on the track. a couple of the guys have competition licenses and will be running in their race cars. others have never been on a track. so we will need something that works for both experienced race car drivers and the novice guys.

Interested...
I'm a maybe. If my weekend is free, car is running...
I have run on the track at Hallett and down at Corpus Christi.
Event in Corpus was $75 a person for a 2 day event back in 2000. All the money was donated I beleive to the Navel Air Station, which is why the cost were so cheap. Run by the Porche club.
Hallett, we rented out for the old CFCC club. Mostly LS1's, a couple of Vettes and a Viper. Price was around $150 for the day and we broke the group into 4 run groups based on experiance and instructors ride the first group with all the novice drivers.
Sounds like a blast.
