DFW RX-7/RX-8 club Sept meet
Yes, it is that time of the month again. Saturday Sept 3rd will be our monthly meet at Cheddars. We'll be meeting at the usual time 8pm at the Cheddars at the intersection of I-635 and McCarther in Irving. Since the track day got canceled I'll be out there with my TII. I'll bring along my camera again and take pictures to post.
See ya there........ JC

There's anywhere from 10-30 cars, sometimes more. The months where there's a holiday (July and Sept so far) seem to have less of a turn out, but kids are back in school and most people have taken their summer vacations. I hope there's a good turn out.

But will it make it to the meet from California??..lol
Who all is going to make it who previously had intended to make the MSR track day? At freakin' $3.12/gal for 87 octane, it sure be nice if more than three cars showed up this time...

Since you don't use a watch, because is too restraining, allow me to explain.
You see, the MSR was going to be from noon 12pm (when the sun is straight up for you), to about 5 or 6pm (sun is now coming down on the horizon).
This meet was for 8pm (sun is now almost gone for you and darkness starts to set in).
As you can see, two different times.
Just because the MSR was cancel, does not mean, that now you are free to make it to the meet, Einstain.
Most people in this society plan their day, according to the activities and their related times(one reason to wear a watch).
So now how come you were late for the RX7/8 meet????
Oh, that's right!!! you don't wear a watch.

Yeah it was a pretty cool meet. I stayed to about 10:00 just listening to 1st gen and Steve Khan talking tuner stuff. Way above my head. It's amazing how a car can bring so many different people together. Really looking forward to the BBQ. (Thanks a millon Dasy) I 'll say about 25 different rotaries in all. All 3 gens. plus the 8's. A great way to meet rotorheads and make connections.

They are held on the parking lot behind Cheddars, every first Saturday of the month.
Next one should be on October 1st. at 8 pm, if weather allows it.
Some times you have no more than 10 cars and other times, I have seen 20 to 30 cars.
So, it is unpredictable as how many cars will show up.

The 'charter' of the RX-7 club is that anyone that LIKES rotaries, specifically but not limited to RX-7's, is welcome at any of our gatherings, events, etc. I don't charge dues, there are no club fees. Anyone can be a member though there are now specific benefits in that at the moment. All club funds are generated through fund raising events like the Dyno Day we recently had. Having said that I hope you can make it to the next get together!
