Ok, I know there was a thread going about the Arlington Monday night meets at Moe's many months ago...

Well it seems as if this event has grown in a huge fashion. And thankfully, from what I've heard, it's actually an organized fashion.. It's turned into a well run "legal" gathering.. They hire out officers to be on location to curb the morons, and have legitimate sponsors, and even *permission* to use the location. They actually have been written up a couple times in the newspaper lately. (favorably even! not another "those d@mn street racing kids" article)

Anyway, the site info is here http://www.dfwcc.com For the time being they're meeting at 8pm at the Hooters off Bryan Irving in South Ft Worth..

So, now that all that is covered.. Does anyone have any interest in gathering a group to head out there? (maybe tonight if the weather holds?) I'd like to go check it out...

About how big is this thing usually, anybody ever been?

 

Well I know at the last location it was huge... (a good 2-300cars.. I think they crossed teh line when they brought out the mobile dyno and did dyno runs)

I think it's a little smaller now with the new location, but still supposed to be quite large.

itz t3h bl0wz...majority of the "nicer" cars probably wont be making it, since they all come from north dallas area. ive seen most say they wont be making it..but i duno.

Mondays are out for me but I might be interested in a weekend function, be it with these guys or whoever. Not many sevens out this way.

 

its ok i have been a couple of times and it was ok there were a some cute girls out there and some nice cars was worth it my buddy organized it

 

I went to one the other week. It was huge. They even had security and people running the lot helping people park. I got vip parking... a whooping dollar! Turned out likw most car meets. A few nice cars, a whole lot of ricers, and a few people doing stupiud crap blah blah blah. I guess it wasn't too bad, but I get bored standing around in parking lots real quick. At least there was a hooters there so we went in and got some wings.

 

yeah ihor next time we eat and drink at hooters

Ok, well a nail found it's way into a tire of the 7 on Friday that'll need to be replaced.

Well, we went.... I gotta say, it's actually pretty cool...

I was amazed how organized it was. IT was one of those "official" type meets.. even made the hooters calendar on the tables and everything...

All sorts of cars, from lowriders, to flashy Scions, to Vettes and 3 supercharded 350Zs, pretty much some of everything...

What didn't seem to show up was a presence of large numbers of idiots doing burnouts etc.. I think the cops wandering around made them leary

It was pretty amusing.. Now we just need more cars to show up!
