DamonB's driving a Honduh?!?

In all fairness it's a Tiga DSR race car powered by a Honda sport bike engine. Congrats on the win Damon!

That looks like a blast to drive, I can't blame him.

I've driven this 13B powered Ralt RT-5. I know that one was a blast, even as big as it is relatively speaking.

Thanks guys. While still coming to terms with the car's likes and dislikes I was thrilled to set FTD that day (on the other hand Tommy and Stuart weren't there).

Unfortunately I won't be driving that car any longer. The car's owner also built much of the car and has decided he doesn't want to risk any personal liability on the one in a million chance that something he built could somehow fail and injure me.

There's a possibility of me getting in John's pp Ralt but we're not certain I'll fit. There's a possibility of me getting back in the RX-7. There's a possibility of me driving something different altogether. Don't know yet.

Depends on who I can talk into taking me on as a co-driver. I'll never drive one of those bass ackwards fwd cars though If I can't arrange anything more competitive I'll go back to getting pounded in SS by faster cars.

Too tall, too high, they won't let you race an SUV. Although a picture of a Jeep laying upside down with a clutch of orange cones poking out from under it would be a great picture for that "It's a Jeep thing, you wouldn't understand" saying.

I believe the trend if you have a jeep, is to add an upside down windsheild decale that reads "If You Can Read This, Flip Me Over" But being an SUV, Id probally just flip them off

I give the hondas respect at the autocross, mostly because they are so NOT your store bought honda... ...That and my cousin races one... ...and wins.

Bob, you said that like 2 years ago.
I hear you are painting now the underside, under the dashboard and the carpet to eliminate any traces of MontegoBlue.
When you are finally done, you will need an engine rebuilt and start all over again

Congrats to Damon!!!

job well done Damon. good to see that you are able to put those skills into a competative car, i'd like to get out this year to an event or two. i have been occupied so far, and i am expecting to sell the TII someday soon. i did get some nice new race numbers though, i didn't like the tape thing.

i still owe you lunch for helping me out that day. have you thought about getting into a shifter kart?

Now, now. It's not polite of us to remind him of these things In the time that his car has been "almost done" I've got engaged, bought a house, moved, planned a wedding, got married, had a daughter and this week will celebrate said daughter's first birthday

As for the Jeep it's got a really bad mid corner push that drive me nuts. Only way I've found to alleviate it is to use the handbrake

I tried on John's Ralt and it appears I'll fit if I buy some shoes. I'll be back in B-Mod this Sunday.

I'm always hungry. We can eat anytime Karts are fun and I respect the kart drivers but I prefer cars. I don't think my kidneys (or my fillings) could handle a kart.

Karts

You say that now. It's fairly obvious my son will be starting in FJ next year. At least it is to him. He keeps asking if he's five yet.

SCCA dictates a minimum age of five. If she grows up like mom and dad, I'm sure they'll have her in karts no later than six but most likely at five. In my case I was specifically avoiding telling my son when he could get into karts but he must have overheard me talking to someone else. He's been bugging me for nearly a year now so it's something that's stuck in his head. The kids karting program (Formula Junior) is well established and pretty well run in this area thanks to a large number of participants. If my son really gets into it we'll probably join WKA and see about getting him into faster karts. SCCA rules say any WKA approved driver/kart combination is legal in FJ and WKA is much more liberal plus he'd get some road course time.

One more thing. When are you going to come out to the D/FW get togethers? You can't just send hubby along. My wife and son used to come out with me but she stays home with our baby girl right now. I'm sure when the weather is better they'll be coming out with me once again.

I work late saturday nights. I usually come home around 12-1am... ...and thats only cuz I live a mile away. I had planned on requesting last saturday off, but missed the deadline. I then planned on "calling in sick" but then I found out that was actually Easter Eve, and I unfortunately work in retail. You would have thought it was xmas!!!

Though I still was planning on possibly calling in anyway, since none of the children who work here seem to care about showing up either, I then realized just how freakin cold it was going to be. I was shocked that my husbad even went, but he claimed he needed pictures. I was actually surprised some RX7s did infact show up.

Next meeting, Cinco de Mayo, I will be requesting off, but most likely neither one of us will be attending, as it will be our 2nd anniversary. But June most likely, if I can remember to request off... ...you see, North Texas Mustang Club had a g2g/show thing in lewisville from 5-8. and then the rx7 thing is like 8-whenever. Both groups have their events the 1st saturday of the month.
