Came Back From Houma Today
Went to Houma Tuesday to visit Mark White.
Barry Bordes came by on Wednesday with his Ito port FD RX-7 with Cosmo manifolds/throttle body and single turbo. We all went out driving to compare cars. Barry's car is very fast even on 10lbs boost.
On Thursday Mark and I went out to do some tuning to his car.
I was surprised how well his car spools with stock ports and a T66 turbo.
He took me to meet Art and Freddie. Art has a FD that he is finishing up. GT40 turbo and Ito ports. We fired up the engine and got it to idle properly with his 780/1600 injectors.
Coming back to day, I covered the 360 miles with two stops at an average 65.5 mph with 22.7 mpg.

My comments on the ride I took in Chuck's well-sorted and tuned FD are:
- it's beautiful and clean
- functional for high-end street performance
- is very, very quick and very, very fast. It pulls hard and strong to redline. Monitoring the action on his PFC Commander in "map trace" reveals boost that builds instantly; the trace was verticle in the N column. The air and coolant temps stayed towards the cool side. After shutdown, the engine wasn't particularly hot and cooled off quickly. It doesn't hold heat and the turbo finally stopped spinning after a couple of minutes.
- Chuck's overall attention to detail in fabrication and tuning is phenomenal.
I could go on and on gushing like a shameless, love-struck jr. high cheerleader. I'll end it by saying Chuck's car furthered my rotary education by a light-year.

I must say that Chuck was very kind to drive to Freddy Hebert's shop and visit the car and me.
I had a bored TB that was causing idle problems and we had to turn wrenches before he could administer aid in the PFC tune. BTW Chuck, its TO4R ...the GT40 was to small!
He is very well versed in the PFC and is faster than a professional auctioneer when talking and tuning. I wish I would have has the LM1 installed. (Which by the way I did yesterday.)
I second that I was impressed with Chuck's ride, as it seemed to be well sorted out and very sharp cosmetically.
Thanks again Chuck.

I think I used more gas sitting there than you did on your whole trip.
