AR Boston Mountain Scenic Loop Near Fayetteville, AR

I recently took a vacation to Austin, TX and on my way back I was driving north on I-540 and saw a sign for the Boston Mountains Scenic Loop. I had never heard of the "Scenic Loop" before, so I decided to do a google search when I got home and came across this video on youtube. Needless to say after watching a bunch of S200's romp along these roads I'm very interested in checking it out in my FC.

Ok! I have made a camera mount to film some of the drive. I'm planning for this Friday. There is a slight chance of rain but, this being Arkansas chances of it actually happening are slim. I took a video using my custom mount just to see how it fared with vibations, wind and road noise. There is a little wind noise due to having my windows down but, overall it works rather well. I'm also ordering a set of Tein S-Tech springs. I plan on doing a run before and after the spring install to compare stock to the S-Tech.

P.S. Sorry about the poor sound quality on the video. As I stated I had the windows down because it was pushing 90F and I have no A/C.

Ok! I had a bit of a delay. I decided to go with Tenabe GF210s instead of Tein S-Tech springs. I installed them this past Saturday. Let me just say it made a huge difference in handling! I'll hopefully be doing the run tomorrow afternoon. I used google maps to see the estimated round trip from Fayetteville to Alma and its supposedly 1h 45m without stopping. But, from what I've heard there are tons of scenic overlooks to stop at. If all goes well and it ends up being a fun time I might try to put a meet/cruise together in the near future. I've been posting on RX8 club trying get some interest sparked up to start a Rotary meet here in NWA. Feedback has been pretty lackluster over on that forum and sadly on ours as well. I would appreciate any feedback from the members reading this thread on starting a meet up. I'm not looking to limit it to just Arkansas members, anyone in the surrounding states are more than welcome to join!

Thanks,
OniFC

I've been through the ozarks once before in my modified Rx-8 and absolutely loved it. Unfortunately, could never make a meet up there but I'm jealous of your local cruises! Post the video when you make it.

I'm trying to get a meet/cruise put together. I've got a few people from rx8 club interested. I know a couple of them are in Dallas. I have a thread posted about it here as well that I'm going to keep updated. I still have to edit the video but, I'll get it posted in the next week or so.

There are a couple of us in Bentonville and Bella Vista with fcs. You might hit up a 417rotary.com too of you are planning a cruise of some type. There are several folks from Joplin and Springfield who may come down.

Awesome! I only know of one other fc here in Fayetteville. He swapped the 13B for a VG30ET out of a Z31 300zx. Why don't we have a meet up some time in the near future have plan out a cruise.
