Ari on Pinks

I was watching the new Pinks thing and in the opening shots I could have sworn I spotted Mr. Yallon's RW&B FD pass by the camera. Later on it was said that he was the lone rotary in a sea of V8's. Well long story short, I had to leave befor his run. Did anyone catch his run and if so how was it and how did he fare against the others?
Thanks,
AJ

he lost in the first round of the final 12. he was pretty cocky about winning it all which makes me glad he lost when he did. a nice lady in a pickup truck won it all! she was a very consistent driver

Lol, I liked that prayer session that lady had with her kids, I'm assuming, and them asking god for her to win and everyone to be safe. Then, ironically, the guy's car wouldn't fire up by the time the first run went down and she started with an easy one-up. Divine intervention, no?

If you ever talk to him in person he's a pretty cool guy. Plus he can afford to be cocky, he's that good.

Yah.. I have to goto bat for Ari here. He's a great guy, a fierce competitor and can talk a good trash game yet still be nice enough to lend you parts to fix your car for the next round.

well he is a sub 10 sec capable car that managed to make it into a 10sec bracket race. Probably more confident than cocky. After seeing a bunch of stuff that goes down on these forums it looks like rx-7 owners are hated on by other rx-7 owners more than anyone else.

TV people are also very good at editing. They can make people seem almost any way they want.

Yup, Ari is one of the nicest and most humble guys I've met. He was probably just hamming it up for the camera

^well, imo he did a great job of living up to what everyone here says about him. too bad he couldn't have shown it for himself, but at least he admitted he ran his fiery mouth too much. I suppose that counts for something.

well the thing about ari is that he is a good racer, and being that he has a 9 second car, he was realy sandbagging it to stay in the 10s in order to compete with everyone and not get kicked off. Ari knows how to dial in a car and race it for that number, i give him probs.

Ari lost? well, that just sucks. I'd love to meet famous people from the rotary community, but there aren't many in Canada. I've already met aaron cake though =)
