Freon and cleaning the front Condenser will improve your AC Dramatically

Freeze 12 can be add to a R12 system and still keep the performance of the R-12

I can't suggest a specific shop since I do all my own A/C work, but probably any shop that specializes in A/C work can take care of you. Ask them to look for and fix any leaks, and don't let them convert it to R-134a.

Depends on what failed, how long the system has been open, etc. What's the history on the system?

So, I saw your rebuild thread. Your system is going to need some work after having sat open to the elements for umpteen years. Basically the whole system should be flushed, all new o-rings, new expansion valve, new dryer (don't worry, those items can be bought new for cheap). Be sure to get parts for a Nippondenso system. These cars had two different A/C systems, and the parts are not interchangeable.

Finally getting the condensor which is the last part i should need (that and the drier but that should be easy to get). Getting the part next week. Can you kinda help me? I can throw in beer but mostly just want to learn bout the system. I've done everything else on the car so I'm trying to keep up with it . Thanks either way!
