Heck, there is even a Starbucks close by. Plenty of eateries near, as well.
I live about 5 miles from this hotel, and it is a very nice area, with far less traffic to contend with, than most other areas with a decent hotel.
Yeah, what he said!

They just opened a new shopping center right on the other side of the river, too. Food and such. Looks cool, we've fliered cars there. The aquarium road sure is fun at 2 am!

Yeah, we saw that shopping center. Will be nice to have something decent on this side of town.

I forgot to mention another nice thing about staying at that hotel. When going to the BBQ location, you can make a pass in front of the brand new Mazda dealer, since it is only about 2 blocks south of the creek turnpike, and on the way to the BBQ location.
I bet that would stir a little excitement on their lot, LOL.
I plan to go that way myself, just to make a little noise passing the dealership.

So yeah... I got my car yesterday... Damn thing now has a check engine light, a broken interior piece, I don't think he put any oil in the rear-end, the clutch pedal needs adjusted, I think they broke my transmission mounts, it makes all kinds of new ******* noises, smells like burning clutch a lot , my idle is much much worse, and it is SLOW.

I knew the TII drivetrain would weigh me down a bit but HOLY ****. I don't think it is reving any faster either. After putting in a 12.5lb flywheel you would think it would at least rev better dammit.

Anyone have any ideas?

Wow, Sounds like you own an RX-7

Sorry you aren't as happy as you should be...Something I noticed about my lightened flywheel is that I didn't notice a big difference down in the low RPM...actually I think it hurt me if anything...You will notice it more when you are higher in the RPM range...Personally if I knew it would have done for me as much as it did...I would have spent my money on something else.

the TII drive train if beefier and that will absorb a little more power plus the different gear ratios.

I took my '83 out for a road trip this weekend. Texas Motor Speedway held a laps for charity event saturday night, and I couldn't resist taking the 7 out "in the groove".
80 MPH seems rather slow around the track, but it was still fun.
Looking forward to this BBQ.

How many of you are planning to be here the night before (Friday 28th)to go to Tulsa Raceway Park (Drag Strip)?

It will go from 6pm - 10pm and we need to have an idea of how many will be going.

If you run anything faster than 13.99 seconds you will need to have a Snell 90 or better helmet.

Please email me at David@ApneaBlue.com if you wish to caravan down there with us.

I really hope you can at least drive your 7 up. I would really like to see it. Well, see it again since I used to see it every day while driving to work.

Here are the Award Torphies. They are small but nice.

1. Best Of Show
2. Most Distant Traveler
3. Most Streetable HP
4. Vintage Rotary
5. Sexy New Rotary (for the RX8 People)

You will choose who gets what based on applause!
