It's really not that hard - in fact, if you had PS2, you can use the same exact video cable to get you started, then plug in the power cord and you're going. My HDTV doesn't use that fancy new connector (HDMI?) so I just used the component RGB cable for the PS2 - works fine in 1080i.

Ridge Racer is fun and Need for Speed is pretty cool. Plus if you hookup teh interweb you can download the playable Gran Turismo HD demo, the playable Resistance Fall of Man demo, and a handful of others. You can even buy and download games without having to run out to the store, but those games tend to suck.

Well from an inspection of the motor and a few comparisons in the past... this pretty much seems to be a detuned/restricted mustang GT motor.

Depending on the year, they're not really that detuned or restricted. The 5.slow just wasn't ever what it was cracked up to be in stock form. There's lots of bolt on parts for it, but even the '94-'95 Mustang Cobras only made like 230hp. The regular 5.0 made right around 200. Those tiny ports probably didn't help much. The ports on my wife's v6 were bigger than that before I even started porting them. . :P

It's under Settings and either Video or Display settings and tell it what video and audio cables you're using and what your TV can handle.- you may have to hook it up first with the yellow white red cable from the box before you can get in to turn on the HDMI cable.

Actually its a 4.6 I think the HP rating was around 210-230hp... Gobs of torque.

You're right, I should know better - I had a '97 for a while, until I took it to the Ford place in Lewisville and they wanted $2500 because my check engine light wouldn't go away. :P

I know the Mustang was still using the 5.0 for the v8 in '94 and at least part of '95 before they went to the 4.6 modular motor, I can't remember if the Thunderchicken changed in the same year or not.

edit: Oh - if you need help getting it back together, check out the TCCOA.com - they're not entirely useless.

Well, we know what everyone was doing last night, but noone's talking about what's going on tonight. I guess everyone else is finally out doing all the things they said they were going to do yesterday.

To, be honest... I'd rather take it out in the middle of a desert and give it a Monster Garage failure hazing.

Installing custom firmware on my psps :P You can be 1337 and call it hacking, but it's not really hacking if you're just following the directions and installing programs someone else wrote. :P

I am done.... Last night's party officially ended tonight with a nice dinner at the Grand Lux Cafe with my friends. Was my first time and the food was pretty good and this latina waitress was absolutely smokin perfect. Sexy accent, beautiful, and awesome well-rounded, and perky, all-natural curves.

All I can say is Gran Turismo II on PSP FTMFW! When I finally finished everything up, loaded it in and played just enough to make sure it worked, I was forced to perform the Rhythmic Celebration of W00tness. The awesomeness of a PSP Gran Turismo is more than cool enough to offset the fact that the second PSP I "fixed" will probably spend a whole lot more time playing the NES version of Chip n Dales Rescue Rangers than Gran Turismo. :P But I guess I'm lucky my wife's into video games at all.

hahahaha.

only security for the 360 is with the DVD player. actually there is and easyer why to mod the 360 but it requires haveing a SATA motherboard. all your doing is changing the firmware so it well play burnd dual layer DVDs - i did mine the hard way though

Actually, the PS3 is region free for games, and Japan and the US are in the same Region for Blu-Ray, so that's not a concern. For the PSP (portable), it was Sony's firmware that made full speed Playstation emulation possible in the first place - the firmware flash I did is a custom firmware that uses Sony's firmware, but unlocks the ability to mount your own Playstation Images, and run emulators from your memory cards.

I don't have anything against the Xbox 360 as a system, just in their target audience. The PS3 has been out for two months and sure, there are only two games out for it so far that I'm interested in. But the Xbox 360's been out a lot longer than that and there still aren't two games out for it that I'm interested in.
