Mine would be done now, if it hadn't been for a string of bad luck sourcing the parts. New turbo comes in tomorrow, I've got to port the wastegate and run a new line for oil and a new line for water, and it'll be ready to go in the car and start. Then I've just got to do the exhaust work and I'll be driving it. If I were just going to rebuild the engine and put it back together I'd have been done back in January. :P

We can't all just BUY the perfect automobile.

And I know exactly who's title you stole that one from.... NA FC = starter's car. I start low and work my way up, its the only way I gain experience and knowldege in anything. I could do two things (one of which you guys are against) to make this NA FC a fast car while keeping it NA because "NA FC" is too general to state as a slow car if you think outside the box.

I'm sorry, what was the word in front of ZX2? I couldn't make it out without slowing way, way, way, way down.

Man, you guys are brutal!

JCee you need to slap some headers on that, open up the exhaust and use some kind of aftermarket ECU to get rid of that stupid MAF. It was good for 30rwhp on my GSL-SE, I'm sure it would be more on a later engine. Then when you overrev and pop a seal you can rip it all apart and do a nice street port and get another 30+rwhp. Turbo, shmurbo!

Yup, the only reason why we knock each other so hard is because we know its all in good humor and that we've all proven we can take it without getting serious over it.

Did you ever figure out what happened to your turbo? I only ask academically now, mine came in yesterday and spins nice and easy.

I got the engine out of the kitchen. I would have had it in the car today, but I suddenly decided that if I took the time to disassemble and paint my entire rack and pinion steering system from pump to rack, it would be silly not to paint the oil pan. :P It hangs drying from my garage door as we speak. Meanwhile, the front's off the car, the transmission is mated to the engine, the turbo is installed, and once the oilpan and mounts are back on, it'll be back in the car.
I'm just waiting for that one loose clamp that will cover the entire engine bay in oil. Wheeeee! Gonads and Strife!

It's in the car now, which isn't as close to being done as it sounds.

Fk'n Mavs....... Fk'n Dirk....... FK'N BARON DAVIS

Seeing as I've never really considered myself a big Mavs fan, due to my having other team preferences, but I always find myself getting really mad when the Mavs lose so maybe I am.

Didn't the coach at Golden State come from Dallas? He's probably got their number the way Sean Payton got the Cowboys number last year.

Yep. He was there before Avery. He still does the same stupid **** he did when he coached the Mavs. Notice how when Golden was down all they would do is shoot 3's, he coached the Mavs the same way. I'm a Suns fan and a part of me wants them to lose the series and fall out but a bigger part wants them to win so we can get a rematch of last year but wiht the Suns coming out on top and getting the finals win as well as Nash being 3 time MVP(as he should be after dirks **** poor performance last night.)
