yet another egt location question

yes, i've searched but never really found the answer. i just ordered a defi egt gauge. in my search for location suggestions, i found in the manifold and the downpipe. supposedly the manifold is a bad idea in case the sensor breaks. the downpipe has lower readings. i have a t78 with the stainless greddy mani. would it be okay to just mount it in the wastegate runner?

I had a autometer in my last setup it was 4 - 6 in from thr turbo and it worked great. I plan on getting the defi egt gauge to and Im going to mount mine in the same location. I would not mount it in the wg runner but thats me.

I have mine in the downpipe about 5" from where it mates up to the exhaust side of the turbo...(single setup)....Before when I had the stock twins it was about 6" from the manifold.

seems as though most people are putting them in the downpipe. since jason at rx7store tuned my car and will be doing all the tuning to it, i might just see where he suggests.
