Woo hoo! I'm single

I just finished my A'PEXi RX6 install. Check it out:

It feels great. Boost does build a little slower than the stock turbos, but it still builds from any RPM so you don't have to downshift to pass or anything. However, once it starts building it just rises smoothly to power level that is beyond anything I have felt with the stock turbos before. It just feels smooth and "easy" now.

Thanks spyfish.

I'll post more impressions and dyno numbers as they become available. I plan to drive it a lot this weekend, so I'll probably have some more to say soon.

Looks nice, How did you hook up the vacuum line for the OMP?

i know a guy who does anodizing if there isnt anyone by you.

http://www.faraday-cases.com/ mainly does parts for us computer geeks but he can do anything and shouldnt be too much hopefully.
email stiltner@jjplating.com to get a quote if you're interested and can have it off for maybe a week :-D

There is one line that connects to the air filter flange. The filter is turned so that it is out of view in the pictures. But it's there!

I also hooked up the stock solenoid to do boost control and it seems to work. However, I am not sure if my setup is "working" or if the car would just naturally make 1.0 Kg/cm^2 whether I have it hooked up or not. It was definitely making too much boost the way I had it hooked up originally, but I removed the line with the orifice (leaving a BIG vent) and the boost seems to be right on now. I'll have to change the setting or disconnect it to see if it is really controlling the boost or if it is just coincidence.

Here's more info about the boost control setup:
https://www.rx7club.com/vforums/show...=76#post156580

I had it out on the highway today. It makes a LOT more power than it did before. Before it was making 320-330 RWHP at 11 psi (educated guess after my 326 RWHP dyno run with cat at 12-13 psi) and I don't even know what to guess now. I am supposed to expect 390-400 RWHP at 1.0 bar, and Cheuk's car made 417 RWHP. So, I figure it is somewhere in that 390-420 range. I am glad my brakes are in decent shape. Okay, I'm going to go out and test the boost control setup some more.

Thanks Node.

I actually had the pulleys re-anodized red. They started off blue because that was all SR had in stock. I am not sure if the bar ends are steel or aluminum. I do need to make them red, but I am not sure if it will be anodizing or powdercoating that gets me there. I should probably go through and clean up all the polished stuff, too.

I've got a red Tial BOV coming next week, too. ;-)

nice, i didnt even think of it being anodized :-D
are magnets attracted to steel? cause they have iron in them so i would guess yes
i dont think magnets are attracted to aluminum, so just take it off and find a magnet :-D
