I'm curious what is the biggest turbo I can upgrade to without a) having to upgrade the stock fuel lines and pressure regulator, and b) with my 1300cc injectors. Would the GT35/40 be too big?
Please stick to the common RX7 turbos--one of those will most likely be purchased, for servicing reasons. thanks in advance,

The GT35/40 would be a waste with such small injectors. You are running stock 550's as well right? I would at least switch out to 1600cc secondaries and get a 1:1 FPR.
What are your goals for it? If you stay down around 10-12psi then the 1300's should work, but why go single and run such low boost. You don't need new lines, I would, but they are about a -6 line factory, but I would recomend a larger pump, larger injectors, and a FPR at the least.
Maybe an XS T04S or T04E would work, or an Apex'i RX6 with your setup, I would spend the extra change and upgrade your fuel system anyways to be safe.
Good Luck Ben.

I don't understand why it would be a waste. I could run lower boost, still be well over 400hp, and make it work with my present system. anyone care to elaborate on why running 12-14lb and still making over 400 would be bad?

Ben.......I told you the deal tonight when you were at the shop. You can achieve 500rwhp with 1300cc injectors. We'll set you up with either our BSC GT 35/40 w/1.06 housing Turbo kit or our BSC T04S Turbo Kit.

Hey cyberben... kinda my $.02 is that your can get 425 to the wheels off of a T04S @ 14lbs on a streetport w/ a FMIC. I was in the mid-low 80% range on my injectors... problem w/ the injectors that is worth looking at is I found that one of them originally was sticking open when I first put it in... which can be a common occcurance... untill it sticks shut then pop! I suggest a upgraded fuel system... 550s/850s in front and 1600's backing them up... I got my 1600's and rail from keith's rails for 300 + a FPR for another 100... lines will be an additional 30 bucks. Just so you can see what it is worth to prevent popping a motor that will cost 1000+ usually to fix if you don't do it yoursself. (search for keiths rails and he will get you setup if you want) Just tell him Ryker sent you.

Eric--I believe you, but I told scott that, and he replied, "and how many motors has Eric gone through?" or something to that effect.

550s/1300s at 85% inj duty, 381 rwhp
850s/1300s at 85% inj duty, 444 rwhp
this is at stock fuel pressure, though. When it comes to injectors, I didn't want to mess around, so went with the 850s/1300s......

OK--now that we've done the math, back to the original question....
What's the biggest turbo, or turbo that would be most tunable and all-around most effective with 850/1300cc injectors? (again, with stock fuel rails/lines/denso comp pump)
thanks,

Actual desired crankshaft horsepower 600 B.H.P
Number of same sized injectors to be used (4)
Brake specific fuel consumption desired (.60)
Maximum injector duty cycle you will see (85%)
System fuel pressure at base idle (50psi)
Required injectors for 600 B.H.P (4-1038 CC)
2- 1300cc injectors + 2- 850cc injectors = 4300cc/4=1075cc
That's what you need for 600 HP at the crank.
