Whatre the biggest baddest turbos?

Like what is the biggest turbo with no/almost no noticeable lag/spool up.
Whats the biggest ball bearing turbo
Any materials that help it spool up faster. Like a titanium (i heard EVOs have em) or ceramic (in some race cars I believe) wheel (erm dunno real term for it)

Also whats the biggest fastest turbo you could shove into a sequential system.
And do you have to have identical turbos for sequential? Or could you put a fast spooling turbo as the first and a huge monster turbo as the secondary. Would this work? Would it be useful at all?

I wouldn't try and mess with the sequentials...besides a set of hi-flow ones. Anything bigger than that and you're just asking for trouble. When the 2nd turbo kicks in, it'll most likely break your tires loose. If you ABSOLUTELY want to keep the sequential, at least keep the 2 turbo's conservatively similar in size.

But a turbo that I would think is the BIGGEST BADDEST **** would be the T-100. I believe there was a Supra that made 1200rwhp with it. I forgot which shop it was though....

The Cosmo 20B sequential system had an HT-12 and an HT-15 -- two different sizes. So it is possible to make it work, but it sounds like a lot of trouble to me.

If I wanted upgraded sequentials, I would get the new ball bearing turbos from M2 or the setup from Rotary Performance. These two upgrades replace the shafts as well as the wheels. Big wheels on the stock shafts tend to be less reliable.

I think you need to choose the characteristics you are shooting for and then pick a turbo, or at least research what is out there and see which setup appeals to you the most. It sounds like you want a big turbo for lots of power, which means there will be more lag than some of the smaller turbos. You could put together your own system, or choose the T-O4S or T-04X from XS, T-78 or T-88 from GReddy, the 51R kit from HKS. Those are all at the larger end of the scale, though the sizes vary substantially even in that group.
