Question What is a slip joint Housing?

I emailed someone about a turbos exhaust flange, and he replied it is a slip joint housing. Can someone please explain what that is. I was planning on using a standard V band connection, will this still work? Thanks in advance.

i thought slip joint was where one pipe had like two walls and they slid over another pipe. kind of like a lego in a sense. dunno, www.burnsstainless.com has some info on their site about stuff like that

Thanks....I just browsed their catalog and found that they sell them for tailpipes.

Anyone else have an idea if i can still use the V band?
The back of the turbo housing has nothing attached to it.

To use V band you will have to buy the V band weld in adapter.

Ok, thats what i thought. I just wanted to make sure whatever this "slip joint" thing is it wouldn't hinder me from using the V band. Thanks.
