What kind of manifold is this? LOOK!
I got this manifold with a garrett turbo a while back. Its obviously old, but doesn't have any make on it that I can tell. It also came with a cartech wastegate. Any help on identifying this would be greatly appreciated. I've searched and searched with no luck so far.

No it does not, so stop spreading dis-information. The 12a turbo uses a hitachi unit same design as the 13bt. Its internal wastegated and the flanged would look like a bastardized sqaure flange somewhere bewtween the t3 and t4
that IMHO looks like one of the arkady (europe)or avatar (america) units both of them tried their hands at tubo charging the 12a back in the 80's so that is probably where it came from.
FYI i I have owned at one time or another every turbocharged car in mazda's lineup , and none of them said mazda anywhere on their manifolds period.
hence my thoughts of it being an aftermarket from the 80's. HKS is marked HKS greddy are marked as greddy,so its not one of them.
good luck.

Hey thanks for the info on this guys....yeah it's for a 13b, the ports match up, definately wider than the 12a exhaust ports. It would make sense that its a cartech manifold since I also have the cartech wastegate. Are these worth a crap? What kind of power over stock did they muster up? I'll see if I can find pics of the turbo that came with this.
Just as a side note, I've searched but probably for the wrong heading, can you modify the turbine housing on an s5 to accept a bigger turbine diameter wheel? I didn't know if you could have it bored or honed out to size to accept a bigger turbine wheel. I've got an s5 with the 60-1 compressor upgrade and considered trying to upgrade the turbine side as well. I've got the REVII complete system and kinda wanted to stick with the stock turbine instead of making a new downpipe and all that. Maybe I should utilize this old school cartech system though. Let me know what you think. Thanks for everyones time!!!

Here's some more pics.... the a/r stamped on the compressor side was .70 and nothing on the turbine housing. If I remember right the exhaust opening on the housing is 2 3/4 or 3". Who knows this system may be something to tinker with but I'm still trying to learn about all this turbo stuff... a/r values, spool time etc. Been reading archived stuff and new posts. Again thanks for all the help.
