what is better: Single turbo or Twin Turbo and why?
#2
a truely perfected sequential twin turbo setup will have the same top end HP as a huge single will but it'll pull 10+ psi from approx 1500rpm if its sized and set up right
I think it'd need a twin entry primary turbo, a mass of control lines and a large headache to get it working correctly.

Go out and find a single turbo 'perfectly sized' as you put it, that will happily blow 30psi worth of air to give ya 700 or more HP at 9000rpm, while still able to spool and blow 10-15psi before 2000rpm.
The idea of a single turbo is to create and happy medium depending on what exactly you are looking for, a true sequentail system could give you the max possible power available at all rpm from idle to 9000rpm

First off I was playin, second off you said a truly perfect sequential setup, which can only happen in a truly perfect world, so unless you and all the other manufacturers out there suddenly can meet the requirements you just explained you need to relax. Unless you know something I don't, I don't know of any sequential setup that hits 10lbs before 2000 rpm and still blows 30 by 9000k a sequential setup IS the compromise adding both complexity and weight to try and achieve low rpm response combined with high rpm power. The setup I am working on on my car shows positive boost by 2200 rpm gives me just under 10lbs at 2800 14.7lbs by 3400 and will run 28lbs when needed The turbo also happens to be rated to flow at guess what; 700hp.
I can also run a smaller a/r and get even better response but then it would only be rated at 600hp. Now I'll take that setup with less weight and less complexity and as good response as stock with the ability to run CLOSE to that 30lbs/700 mark any day over your truly perfect but not quite real more complex and weighty setup anyday, and next time I guess I'll be more careful on who I kid around with.
