what is the best wastegate?

Most people in Australia us Garrett 42mm wastegates.
The quicker drag cars are now getting into the HKS stuff.
Personally, I use a 45mm turbosmart wastegate:
All Duplex stainless steel(?) construction and comes with V band clamps and all bits required for fitment.
Price is $749AUD.

Hopefully I'll understand more once I read more of Maximum Boost, up to page 30, im going slow but I only have time in school when i have no schoolstuff to do and I try to understand it the first time around
Already proving very useful :-D
and btw would a rotary go under four stroke or 1/3 stroke or 1 stroke. I was trying to figure that out. I'm talking literally what they would be, not just classification

once again Tial makes great product but the HKS units are proven. Just give them some more time and the popularity will be greater as the racers will try new products to get faster.
Chris, I saw that new Turbonetics wastegate and the thing looks bad ***. we will see what the results, I might even buy one and have you test it for me

It expands to draw the intake charge in, compresses the charge until the spark plug fires (give or take a few degrees), then it expands under combustion and contracts to expel the exhaust gases. Then it starts all over again. The eccentric shaft completes three rotations during this cycle, but since there are three combustion chambers per rotor, you get one ignition event per rotor per eccentric shaft rotation (2 fires per eccentric rotation on a 2-rotor engine). The rotors revolve at 1/3 the speed of the eccentric shaft. When the tach says 6000 RPM (the speed of the eccentric shaft), the rotors are revolving at 2000 RPM.
I don't know how Wankel dreamed it up, but I'm sure glad he did!

Tial
the TIAL w/g's are superior , i have been using them for years with NO failures. they flow better than most other 50mm+ w/g on the market i have not used any of the HKS stuff but i know that their actual product no matter how it performs is not made better than the TIAL, EVERY piece on the 46mm is made from billet even the bolts. and me being a CNC machinist can respect that. so just like with anything else you get what you pay for. every kit i make is used with the 40mm Tial and my race car will have the 46mm on it. lets not even talk about their BOV's ABSOLUTELY THE BEST ON THE MARKET!
