Question Wastegate spring

Hey guys this may be dumb question but I never understood why not run the stiffest spring possibile to make the fastest spool time? Please advise me on why not or why or what are the limits with my kkk kit it is in prgress of installing in my garage so any suggestions are welcome to change. Or should I run a diffent waste gate altoghter.

Not sure if I understand the question, but this is how I understand that it works....

First off, if you pick a spring, you can not boost anything less than that, of course, unless your turbo won't go that high (say you put a 2 bar spring on a 60-1... you're boost would never stop building). Also, if you pick an 18 psi spring, you will never be able to boost anything lower than 18 psi....

If you put a light spring, like a 5 psi dealy on a turbo that you want to run 18 psi on, you will get wastegate sputter, and it is very hard for any boost controller to keep the boost stable.

From what I've seen and experienced, pick the highest PSI that you want to run, then subtract 5 from that and run that spring. Seemed to have worked well for me.

I hope I answered your question. BTW, what wastegate are you running (I know the one that came with the kit, but is that Tial, assuming you got it from SR?)
