ok was wandering if you are running 15psi on your turbo did your wastegat have to be set the same? or can it be off by 5 psi or so?

Based on the wording of that question ut sounds like you would greatly benefit from reading up on how turbos and wastegates work.

The wastegate spring pressure = the absolute lowest boost pressure you can run (with that spring). Basically, once the wastegate (if left alone) sees that pressure the spring will compress, opening up and letting all the extra boost pressure vent past.

Tune boost pressure = whatever you want to run. Your boost controller tricks the wastegate into staying closed past where it would normally open up. The boost controller sends a message to the wastegate telling it to open up when you want it too.

Basically:

Wastegate = Absolute lowest pressure

PSI in tune = when the Boost Controller tells the wastegate to open.

(I realize what I have said has holes in it, I'm trying to explain it as simply as possible for the OP)

If you want to run 15psi you will need a boost controller and a wastegate with a spring pressure lower than 15psi (say 10psi). The boost controller is then used to increase the boost pressure to 15psi by keeping the wastegate closed until a certain point that is set by the tuner.

It can be done without a boost controller, but it will not be optimal as you will be cracking the wastegate open early and creating more lag.
