turbo sizes.....yes i have searched, im a TURBO newb

okay i have searched but i'm sure this topic has been up before. what is the diff between turbo's like t3's and the t4 family, and i heard theres like a t51 family. is it the size, or its ability to flow (induce/exduce) a certain amount of air or just a number. or i guess why is sumthin like a t88 diff. from like a td06. (yeah im that bad). but i do knoe some basics.

are any resources like books or website available?

You basically got to go through all the threads in here.
It has been covered many times, and a lot of this information is buried in a lot of the threads in here.

Just to cover the turbo models you have mentioned...

T3 is a Garrett turbo family.
T04 is a Garrett turbo family.
The T04 turbo, in general, is larger than the T3 turbo.
Within each family, there are individual models which vary in size.

The "T51" is on the bigger end if the Garrett T04 family.
Most well-known T51 is the HKS T51R Kai series; this HKS series is specifically made by Garrett for HKS.

A T88 is a Mitsubishi turbo, and it's rather huge for a 13B application.
Expect power to only start "coming on" at 5kRPM (or higher), and it's not recommended for street use.
Power potential can go 500hp at the wheels and more.
There are several T88 wheel trims, according to Trust / Greddy.

The TD06 is another Mitsubishi turbo, and is a good match for the 13B.
Power potential is in the 400hp range.
The TD06 is "several" steps down from the T88 mentioned above.
From smaller to bigger:  TD06, T67, TD07, T78, T88.
There are several wheel sizes for the TD06, so not all of them are identical.

Before you ask, there is no easy way to equate the turbos across different manufacturers.
BUT, a TD06 (20G or 25G) compares approximately to a Garrett T04B 60-1 or T04E "60" in terms of power output potential.
