Turbo and manifold gaskets

I have a copper exhaust manifold gasket on my tII it leaks pretty bad.. I'm guessing the stock gaskets the best. Looking to pull every thing off and reseal it. I don't want any more leaks. Where are u guys getting your T4 manifold to turbo gaskets I'm not looking for the thin metal one I want something that seals well. What are u guys using?
Thanks
James

If your flanges are not true, every gasket on earth will leak. I'd reccomend having them lapped or machined before putting on a new gasket. Also wanna make sure your hardware stays tight and is the appropriate grade/material for the job.

Both the manifold and exhaust housing flanges are new and true. I just want to make sure the gasket is actually a gasket not some thin piece of metal..

Get the multilayer metal gaskets. Oem for the block flange and again any aftermarket multilayer turbine gasket will work without leaking. I've used thin metal gaskets for customers and never had any leaks though. You might want to check out your mating surfaces for warping. There's a very well known turbo manifold maker out there that doesn't lap their manifolds out there like we do. Oh well...

Remflex gaskets will work even if you have minor warpage. They are 1/8" thick and compress 50% and reusable.

Bringing up an old thread, but Remflex doesnt list a mazda gasket, but would a garret t25 gasket work?

The stock turbo 2 engine to turbo manifold gasket is great, way better than the non turbo ones. It's 93 bucks from mazdatrix for the turbo gasket, compared to 19 dollars for the non turbo ones.

The FD stock gaskets are quite nice as well, a two piece design. Even more expensive, at 123 EA. x2, total is 246 before shipping...

The remflex gasket posted about earlier in this thread seems to be pretty sweet. They do carry a mazda engine flange gasket, but I don't know how it compares to the stock ones. It is cheaper than the turbo model at 32 dollars, but more expensive than the seemingly near equivalent 20 dollar non turbo gasket.

http://catalog.remflex.com/MAZDA_Hea...t_p/58-001.htm

They also make t3, t4 divided, t6, etc. turbo gaskets.

I use the Cosmo gasket similar to the ReW gasket but cheaper, have taken my manifold a few times and still seals perfect.

Yup! Those work great. Just make sure you're not using the EGR or have need for those ports...
