Which turbo best for 15-20 psi?

I see a lot about the 60-1 beint the best for 10-15 psi, and the T04S being good for 20-25 psi (is that right?), but what turbo operates in its primary efficiency in the 15-20 psi range? If one doesn't, what is the best compromise for a street car that goes road racing?

Jeremy, for a street port with air to air IC I think for money you simply cannot go past a 60-1 compressor size or equiv.

This will give the best balance of air flow and will more than handle the BHP that set up will deliver on that pressure ratio...period.

You may get slightly less hot air with a larger compressor but the reduced power band and responce time is not worth in for 5 to 7 extra BHP (calculated due to lower charge temp)

What spec of turbine and centre section you run depends on your budget, but I am more than happy with plain bearing Garrett with a large exhaust housing.

I think a TO4S from many different suppliers will suit your needs well and deliver the best possible performance v's dollar ratio. You want better then look towards units with ball bearings and the like but I would not pick a larger compressor wheel, you just do not need it for that Pressure ratio (boost level)

Hope this helps?

Expect to pay about $1300Aus for a turbo of this type.

the Tso4 and to4s are two different beasts. The Tso4 uses a Tseries design while the t04s uses the t04e type design. The Ts04 is a decent turbo, I had one on my 87FC and I loved it. Due to an accident i didnt get to fool with it much. But from what I gather the 60-1 is optimal in performance.
