To4e.........
This is just a for instance question so plz dont go off on me. If i was to buy just the turbo from xs prob. would it be worth it to make my own kit with this? I have no knowledge of making a kit but i know this is one of the more common turbos. Now dont go off on me and say just b/c i dont know anything i shouldnt do it. I have plenty of people that can help me should i need it and there is always chrispeed. The reason for this is my constant desire to have only the best... Now if i was to make the kit the list of things that i know i would need so fare is
-turbo
-oil lines
-wastegate
-BOV
-Re-Routed IC Pipeing
-Coolant Lines
-Fastners
-DP
-And finally a manifold
Is this it??

Here is an approach that would work:
1. Get all parts gathered in one pile.
2. Install parts into stock RX-7. Document the instructions to do it. Take pictures of the more interesting parts.
3. Finish install and give options or suggestions.
4. Take out all modifications and install stock components again.
5. Take person off the street to install kit using instructions. Annotate any problem areas and make it clear and concise in those spots.
6. Take the modified car out and run on dyno. Get results and post with kit. Marketing will need these numbers as well. Make sure they are the same numbers you originally told them. Include a dyno sheet with marketing and kit.
7. Package the kit with other options as well. Like radiator, Fuel Pressure Regulator, computer, and/or boost controller.
Viola' - a new improved single turbo kit.

Also gaskets- manifold to turbo, turbo to dp, dp to cat (or mp). And a block plate and gasket for the oil return line that won't be used. And air filter of some sort. XS also includes heat shielding for the turbine housing and the heater coolant line that is replaced with a soft hose.

Well i ment a kit for myself.. not a kit for everyone else.. Although its not a bad idea 2 package a singel turbo kit 2gether for all of you.. I know some people that work at nopi down here that can get my dc's on anything i want.. a turbo will or can only cost me 400-500$.. If i was to make a kit for u guys what would be your choice componets??

I would talk to crispeed, gmonsen, or rice racing. They are the ones that come to mind - no disrespect to the many others out there. Those are the goto guys on the board. PM them. I am sure they would love to help you - especially if "cabbage" is involved.
Seriously though, they could steer you in the right direction for a total kick-a$$ setup.
You could also look at what some of these RX-7's setups are and what kind of power they are putting down. Then, just PM the owners - simple as that. You can't get any better than that!
Make sure they (crispeed, rice, and gmonsen) fully understand what you want to do with the car and what the goals are. Remember, the most horsepower will cost you the most $$$. Somewhere in between will be good.
hope this helps! Sorry for the confusion on my part...
