tial wg stuck open???

tial wg stuck open???

finally got my motor and new turbo setup in. now i have an exhaust leak. so i check everything and it all seems to no be blowing any air. i put my hand over the wg mouth/exit and its puffing like an exhaust. is there something i need to tighten? also i have my profec b hooked up to it, but i unhooked it and its still the same. anyone else have this problem? btw its a tial 44mm.

Make sure the WG is installed with the correct opening towards the exhaust manifold.

hey chuck, i have it installed correctly, seems kind of odd... is there any spring tightning adjustment?

did you put the other insert in? the lil sleeve that fits between the V-band Flanges that sits inside the two. Or am i thinking of something else?

if so, no i didnt put any sleeve in. its wierd my wg just bleeds off like an exhaust. if i cover it with my hand there is no more leak. i cant figure it out. i guess i need a stronger spring...?

I did the same thing by forgetting to put the other sleeve in as well. Its actually the valve seat and with out it it will leak exhaust and sound like a nascar car is in your garage. Take your wastegate off and insert the other peice and put it back on and pow you have no more exhaust leaks.
