Throttle body question

Hey just wondering about the intake arrangement the FC owners here are using with the single turbo set ups. Has anyone used both a standard arrangement & a tubular plenum with a single throttle body style arrangement & can compare.
I've heard the larger barrel style plenums with the bigger t/body basically allow for more flow/power but shift the power band further up in the rev range & the loss of bottom end torque compared to the standard set up is significant.
I've also heard the standard set up doesn't really become a massive restriction until around 550-600 hp at the wheels but I don't know how true this is.
Was bench racing with a mate who wants to use his FC primarily for street & hill climb/sprint events etc. - most probably with a GT35R (with T04 hot side etc.) aiming for around 500+ at the wheels around the 20 psi mark & wants to retain some lower end torque for squirt out of corners.
Any info would be appreciated.

I made 500rwhp with the FC inlet and throttle body on my 12a. I dont see it being a restriction unless you plan on making 650+hp.
