That's what I assumed you were talking about. I have used it a few times before... it didn't last. It's easily scratched and doesn't cure as tough as one would hope. I put it on the turbine housing of a buddy's mkiii supra and after a while it was basically peeling off. I'd imagine it wouldn't do much better on a rotary.

I didn't mean to come off "snooty" with you. A few people have said not to use it unless you plan on outgassing it then use a thermal stripper, alkaline washing, flash rust sealer or a few other treatments.

Can you get the hood closed when running the hat forwards?
Maybe the TII manifold is shorter, but with JW manifold for REW, E&J TB and carb hat from Edgar, I can not make the hood close on my 1st gen without shortening the intake 1.5", and thats when running with the hat pointing towards the drivers side.

If it doesn't oh well. I'll just run it without a hood, I'll fit in perfect with the local hillbillys running around town with the hoods off their irocs and monte carlos

so what intake are you using? what's that silver thing connecting to the mani? and is the intake under the engine near the exhaust? What about an intercooler no need? Sorry but I'm very interested in your rig and it looks like it's going to be very efficient as far as getting the power out with maximum efficiency

I have the JW Lower Intake Manifold, then the EJ throttlebody, then the Extreme Velocity Hat, then the charge pipe which connects to the turbo.
No intercooler on my setup. I'm going to run E85 with Methanol Injection so that should keep the air intakes plenty cool.

It's just going to be minitubbed with a 13 inch wide tire out back.
Nothing crazy since it's going to be a streetcar

Good question. I'm going to buy a sharp radius 90 and see if I can work some magic with it. If I can't I'll buy a high dollar 5 inch donut. I still plan on running the downpipe in the traditional place.
Question, where the two tubes go into the T6 flange. I can't get a weld in between the two tubes. I'm afraid that if I try, I'll just make a huge mess. The two tubes are just so close together.

you can just weld one runner completely around then the other as good as you can, then weld the inside to finish it. you should aslo weld up the seem between the two runners just for added strength even if it isnt for sealing the exhaust.
